Why I should not disrespect an NCO and the consequences I am writing this essay because I disrespected a non commissioned officer. I do apologize for what I did and have said. I have learned from my mistake and I see why I am to do this essay and that is to show that disrespecting a non commissioned officer will not be tolerated and two give clear understanding of the impact that disrespecting a Non Commissioned officer has on others. For many reasons the Non Commissioned Officers keep the moral up and motivate soldiers and encourage them to do their very best and showing disrespect to the non commissioned officer's not only lowers moral, it also makes it to where the NCO thinks less of the person and lowers the person’s creditably. There is a possibility of Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ) actions taken against the soldier.
In this article by Mrs. Deluca she mentioned that combat soldiers are trained to “toughing it out”, whatever the problem is. They are trained not to show any signs of “weakness” because in some cases it is frowned upon. Combat war veterans at times will tend to judge themselves as being weak because the condition makes them feel weak. Mrs. Deluca also explains that to tough it out is a skill that is necessary when it comes to a combat situation. The reason is because soldiers see it as skills that work and that have made it possible for them to come home alive from war.
This caused a ripple effect in the army as we promoted inexperienced Soldiers to Sergeant, these leaders were now training new Soldiers, this led to Soldiers not getting the proper leadership and not conducting inspections and other basic soldiering skills like haircuts, cleanliness & serviceability of the uniform and ensuring that good basic discipline was being upheld at all levels. As long as the combat mission was completed many times the leaders weren’t worried about how it got
Wesley lives under the shadow of his brother Frank and as the story progresses he is slowly escaping it. However, despite Wesley’s wilted physique and lack of superiority in the Hayden family hierarchy, he possesses a great deal of moral virtue and mental strengths. First of all, Wesley’s leg injury leads to other factors to develop Wesley as a better and stronger man. In his life he goes through many obstacles, such as his failure to go to war, and thus becoming the underdog of the Hayden family. This is discovered when the patriarch, Julian Hayden, says to his son Wesley “Ever since the war…Ever since Frank came home in a uniform and you stayed home, you’ve been jealous” (118).
How did the attitudes of the British soldiers and civilians change during the course of the war and what caused these shifts in attitude? The soldiers went into war expecting the war to be glorious and easy. How did their experiences in war shift there attitudes about the war later on. The attitudes dramatically shifted from the beginning to the very end of the war. The opinion, as discussed in class by Professor Eacott, was it was going to be a very short war and he mentioned that there was a big sense of nationalism when he mentioned that each country didn’t want to feel humiliated by each other.
GEAR ACCOUNTABILITY By PFC BARNEY In our United States Marine Corps today, there seems to be one problem amongst our Marines that can have very light and also very severe consequences. This problem is losing issued gear and/or not having full accountability of all of our issued gear. Losing a small piece of issued gear or some small pieces of equipment doesn’t seem like it would have a big effect on the Marine or his peers, but actually it can have a huge effect. There are many important reasons to be checking your gear constantly to keep proper Marine Corps issued gear accountability as a Marine in the United States Marine Corps. It is the Marine’s responsibility to always have proper Marine Corps issued gear accountability
