Abstract The objective in the experiment was to test if when mice were given Creatine would they grow more than mice that were given a normal dietary supplement. Two mice were given the Creatine and the other served as controls. The mice were weighted multiple times over a two month span and the mice that were given the Creatine did indeed gain weight faster than the mice that were on a normal dietary supplement. Although two of the mice died in the process the original hypothesis was proven correct. Introduction The objective of the project was to test and examine mice over a time span of two months. The mice were examined see whether or not Creatine would affect their growth by an acceleration of weight gain or would they loose weight from the excessive exercise. Also, their behavior was observed. Since they were receiving a substance that was originally meant for humans there was a possibility that the experiment could go wrong and the mice could get sick and maybe die from the Creatine. There were four mice, separated into two cages, two mice to a cage. Two mice were control mice only being given regular water, a wheel, and dietary food. The other two mice were in a separate cage being given water that had 0.03% Creatine, the same food and the same form of wheel. This experiment could be a good structure to see if whether or not the same can happen to humans although the percentage of Creatine would be higher due to a lot larger body mass. The existing knowledge known is that Creatine is high in protein and calories which results in large muscle gain when burned off due to a lot of exercise. We wanted to know if taking Creatine would accelerate the growth of the mice quicker with the same food and exercise. Our hypothesis was that the mice with Creatine would gradually overwhelm the control mice with a higher percentage of gained weight. Materials and
