The Decision That Turns My Life 180° In any individual life, whether his/her personal or professional life, decision making is one of the success’s fundamentals. Some of these decisions are in daily basis such as, a driver decide to turn left or right, a cook decide to cook beef or lamb, and a student decide to skip class or not. These are quick decision making. On the other hand, decisions such as starting a business and starting a family (getting married) are deliberate decisions. In this paper, I would like to shear my experience of making a decision, a decision that turns my life 180°; yet, so far in a good way. It was a forethought decision, which took me almost a year to take it, since the stake were the success in my life, my career, my wife, and my two year old boy. It was through the year 1997-2009, when almost everything was there for me. I am not trying to show off by saying that, but I would like to illustrate the circumstances. Over the past years, I was the captain of Saudi Arabia Basketball National Team, a husband of a wonderful wife, and a father of a sweet baby. I had my own house, my own cars. I also had my own driver and a housemaid, to be there for my family while I am locally participating with my basketball club or around the world with my national team. Among these lovely years, something was always disturbing me, and that was the level of education that I had. It wasn’t the level which will support me, or my family if any thing happened in my basketball career. As my brain was gradually growing throughout the years, I started to think about a success and secure future for my family and myself. The system was really complicated, when it comes to get a higher education in my country due to my age and my basketball involvement. Therefore, studying overseas was the alternative.
