Michael Jordan---His Airness---Black Cat---Money---MJ---Air Jordan Michael Jordan is an unbelievable person; he is an athlete, entrepreneur, spokesperson, and actor. He is a person who learned all aspects of the business world. He has done so many things with his career that he has a net worth of one billion dollars (1). When people mention his name or even think of him the first thing that comes to their minds is his huge shoe brand, Jordan’s are a huge competitor in the sneaker business. During his first season with the university he was named Atlantic Coast Conference rookie of the Year for 1982. Being a freshman there, Michael got his ever-growing popularity when he scored the game-winning basket in the 1982 NCAA championship game against the Georgetown Hoyas. Because of this, for Michael’s sophomore and junior years of college, The Sporting News named him college player of the year for both years (4&5). During the summer of 1984, Jordan made his first appearance at the Olympic Games as a member of the U.S. Olympic basketball team. The team won the gold at the games that year, which were held in Los Angeles. Jordan later helped the American team bring home the gold medal at the 1992 Olympic Games, held in Barcelona, Spain. He was an extremely accomplished college athlete and more people were starting to recognize his undeniable talent. Jordan left college after his junior year because he was drafted into the NBA by the Chicago Bulls and just like he did in school, he proved himself to be great on the court. In his first season (1984–85) as a professional, he led the league in scoring and was named Rookie of the Year; after missing most of the following season with a broken foot, he returned to lead the NBA in scoring for seven consecutive seasons, averaging about 33 points per game. He went from playing basketball in the backyard with his brother to a 29,000 square foot house and playing in the NBA. He is now known as the best player to ever play the game. He is the best NBA basketball player in the history of the game. His way of playing the game will always be remember. Such as the dunk from the free throw line that so many people try to attempt, but no one could do it like Michael Jordan. He brought personality to the game of basketball and no one would’ve been better to bring that than Michael Jordan. He was just simply a great all around player he could shoot, dunk, pass, and block. Any team that had Michael would definitely improve and only become better in time. No one else could lead one team to six championships in one decade, and would have come out of retirement twice to come back to the game of basketball. That shows true love for the sport and the continuous stride to always get better as Michaels parents taught him.
