In the book What Great Teachers Do Differently, Todd Whitaker chronicles things that great teachers do. By adopting many of the practices in the book, a new teacher can be well on their way to becoming a great teacher. High expectations, creating a climate of caring, decision making, and learning to ignore things are just a few of the things that great teachers do. Great teachers have high expectations not just for their students, but also for themselves. The expectations a teacher places on his or herself are directly related to those placed on their students.
I am deeply honored to be among the exemplary students who were chosen to become a part of the pioneer batch of the Honors Program of Enderun. I must admit that this is something that I have been looking forward to since the beginning of my college career. The Honors Program aims to recognize students with outstanding grades and commendable characters which I strongly believe that I both acquire. I believe that I deserve to retain my part on the Program because I have worked very hard and gave my very best to attain such standing. Looking back, there were several poignant moments when I was struggling with my classes and would have given up trying to achieve my goals.
Drill team gave me the knowledge that grades in high school do play an important role in life and I knew that if I put enough heart into it I would succeed. My coaches made an impact on me because they differentiated me from other and made me realize that I made a huge difference to the team. They gave me the opportunity to showcase what I had, which made me sense I was notable and helped to raise my confidence. I have never been able to adjust to situations as well as others but the confidence I gained from drill team experiences helped to change that. My confidence plays a big role in the person I am today.
Schools that have enough instructional supplies like test book and others always produce good student. The supplies help the instructor to have access to more education sources and references, this makes teaching easy and fun for the instructors. Every instructor who love his work, devote his time and energy to making his student better, on the other hand, student acquire enough skill or knowledge from devoted instructors. Every school or classroom that lacks of supplies never produce good student. Immigrant’s student can only perform better academically when all the needed supplies are available for their learning experience.
This time, it was asking about a class we were both taking in school. After he smoothly got me to text him we began talking daily. I started seeing a more mature, changed side to Corwin and I found out that my initial impression of him was completely wrong. He turned out to be a truly amazing person that I never gave him enough credit to think he could be. The more I got to know the real Corwin Weik, the more I realized that he built up walls and portrayed a certain person because that’s what he was used to, just like me.
I will never forget my past because it was such a big part of my life. It gave me the confidence that if I really want to achieve something, I know I can do it. As I lost more and more weight, the new friends got to my head quick. I forgot who my real friends were; I left them in the dust just because I was so excited to meet so many new people. It’s funny what happens when everything changes so fast; one forgets about who really cares about them and who’s been there for them since day one.
Assiduous Assiduous; showing great care, dedication, consistency and perseverance. To me showing true dedication means to be fully committed to something that intrigues you. To some people that could be; Sports, Work, Family and Friends. But to me I'm fully dedicated to My education and grades to follow with it. To me school, is my top priority as a young adult to do and finish.
I hope that I do not let my team members down and that I have upheld my end of the bargain for completing our learning team assignment for this week. My thoughts about team C is that we are a good team and we have all worked well together as a team. Everyone has came together and ensured that our team assignments are complete, accurate, and turned in on time. I could not have asked for a better
My Experience in Speech Class My Experience in Speech Class Before I started this class, if someone would have asked me if I wanted to give a speech in front of a large audience, I would have laughed in their face. But in reflection of my semester in speech class, I would now jump at the chance to talk in front of an audience. True, it is partially because I enjoy making a fool of myself, but it is in large part due to the fact that talking to people in a structured manner, such as a speech does not feel so uncomfortable anymore. I used to be a quiet student in class. However, since the first day of this speech class, I realized that this class had the greatest opportunities for me to improve my public speaking skills just by speaking up in the class.
