An example of Evyn being unintelligent was when her so-called friends, Andrea’s group, calls her Evelyn and doesn’t talk to her unless it’s to ask about updates with Ajax, she doesn’t realize that they’re just using her. Evyn was also, very inconsiderate and selfish. She didn’t seem to notice how happy her father, Birdie was after he had proposed to Eleni. Evyn doesn’t seem to care what his father felt and made it harder for him. “Bounce” was an interesting book that showed problems that actually happen to 13 year olds.
The mystery had almost been solved in 2005 by Zahi Hawaas and his team who took a closer look at a mummy found a century ago which was named KV6oa. It was at first neglected, because it did not have any jewelry or clothes which might indicate this used to be a prominent person (Brown, p. 2). So, another theory concerns her mysterious disappearing, as well as the destruction of any evidence of her rule. Had not it been for an accidental discovery of her tooth, the mummy would still be left unacknowledged. Soon after that, it had been proclaimed the King Herself and now she stays at the Egyptian
Proof Proof by David Auburn is a dramatic play about genius and madness and how close these two really are to each other. Three of the four characters Auburn uses are gifted mathematicians: one was certified, one close to being certified, and one who has the mental capacity to be certified. These three character are, in respect to their level of certification, Robert, Harold, and Catherine. Robert, Catherine’s father, was at one time a genius mathematician and after completing his best work in his early twenties, he starting going insane. He had obtained a mental illness over time, but he was never put into a mental institution or anywhere else of that type.
Later papa decides to move to a new place and a new school. At the new school, Jeanne is actually nominated to be the carnival queen. When the school heard that she was nominated, many teachers were no approving of her, so some of them even tried to rig the ballots so another nomine could have a better chance of winning. After Jeanne won, she had to go to a coronation ceremony, however during that time; she realized that she is not American, nor Japanese. She is both.
Melinda has finally become popular, and can now speak the truth. ¨One girl, not the cheerleader, nods her head, and says, ¨Way to go I hope you’re OK.¨With hours left in the school year, I have suddenly become popular.¨(Anderson 197) Bullying has finally stopped and Melinda is now better known and a good role model by the end of the story because she spoke. Bullying really comes in many different ways, and they are strong to our feelings .all people in the school bullied Melinda since the start of school, not even at school, but since the bus picked her up. Melinda had a very sad ninth grade until the end and she passed to much to be bullied at that level. The worst thing she passed was when she got raped.
On May 8th, Spencer and Krysta created a prank to play on Patty. Spencer pretended to ask Patty to prom and get her excited only to have Krysta walk up with a cake that had “Fatty Cakes” written on it. Patty was humiliated at school in front of her peers. Now I ask you again… were does one draw the line? Because these bullies didn’t stop there.
Her best friend Rachel didn’t even sit with Melinda that day. Instead she laughed at her and told her “I hate you” (pg 5). Melinda found a new friend that just moved to town. Heather is completely different then she. Melinda does not even like her but it the only girl that doesn’t know about the party.
After reading the book I have realized just because you don’t have that new LG slide phone or that bright fluorescent I-pod you have always dreamed about. Doesn’t mean it’s the end of the world. What I do have is a loving family and friends. Perdita had none of those things. She was adopted when she was only young, her foster parents always fight and on top of that the whole school classifies her as a freak!
The very first high school that I attended was Christ The King which was a catholic school, and because I was the new kid I really didn’t know anyone. So I tried to get to know some people, but because I'm shy that didn't work out for me so I just stayed talking to the one person that I knew. The environment in that school was so different as far as school work and the school district went; their rules were really strict the girls couldn't wear more than two colors on their nails, or in their hair and if so we would get a detention. We also would get a detention if we were caught with our phones or if we were chewing gum; I received plenty of detentions for my nails, chewing gum, and my phone. They had us work once a week on certain days in different places; I’ve worked in a health clinic and MB financial bank.
The change we seek has always required great struggle and great sacrifice. And so this is a battle in our own hearts and minds about what kind of country we want and how hard we're willing to work for
