Steele Enterprises Case Study Steele Enterprises Dissonance frequently happens between teams or team members. However, it is important to resolve the situation properly and quickly. A huge problem is observed in Steele Enterprises that they have a bad relationship between chemical branch and mechanical branch. Also Gene Robertson, public relations director, is not doing his role properly. He does not try to make their relationship better for quite a long time. After the incident from the PR dinner, he should have decided and implemented some actions promptly to reduce misunderstanding between teams. With this incongruity, they will lose productivities and profits in company-wide. The PR dinner incident was caused by unidentified roles and responsibilities for the special event that should have decided action items between Richard Leeman and Donna Olson beforehand. They should have been in a cooperation but competition. Also Gene Robertson should have been directed proper actions for the PR dinner in advance. These addressed problem affected to human resources relationship including organizational structure, team members in both teams, and stakeholders when it lasts long. It also influences to team morale and productivity. Team member will have negative stance when they work at their work place. This should be handled as urgent and careful issues than any others. Human resources team should help the arbitration between Donna and Richard with top priority then coordinate chemical branch and mechanical branch, too. Then obvious roles and responsibilities should be identified under all team members’ awareness. In case of Gene Robertson, public relations director, has to be assessed his managing style objectively then to be recommended some action items.
