Most people depend on morning coffee to boost up their energy. Coffee becomes one of the most high demand products in trading. There are hundreds of coffee brands in the U.S, but no company has made a big global success like Starbucks did. In fact, Starbucks is the most favorite coffee brand not only in the U.S, but also in the world. The book “Pour Your Heart Into It” was well written by the former chairman and C.E.O of Starbucks - Howard Schultz narrated his personal life along with all good and bad times of Starbucks in building a business. The story inspired readers, especially future business leaders, to believe and be passion about your dreams. From Howard’s biography to the growth of Starbucks, Howard presented the important factors to build a business and also to be a great leader. Management is one of the most value lessons that I have from the book. The strategy Howard for hiring people was looking for people who had the same vision for the growth of Starbucks and passion with coffee. With this strategy, the employees would work hard and self-direct. Besides, Howard also created plans to keep all potential employees in the company. From the beginning, one of his goals was to build a company that his father always wanted work for. Therefore, he put more effort in providing benefits for employees. He shared his dream, thoughts, and vision to every member of Starbucks. He showed his appreciation to the contribution of each employee of Starbucks by listening and operating every potential idea of his co-workers and employees in expanding Starbucks, such as adding skim milk to choices, practicing the ideas of Frappuccino drinks, ice cream, and coffee bottles. Moreover, he provided bean stock options and health care benefits for both part-time and full-time employees.
