Task B Sports Leader Summary: The short story is about a boy. He is 16 years old and not very smart. The boy lives with his foster mum. Whit help he gets a job as a window cleaner. Since he is a pretty recourse lacking guy that job is fine for him. Phil who is the window cleaner is complaining a bit because the boy only cleans one house while he is cleaning five, but the boy compensate whit that by doing the worst job of the week. That is collecting the money. The boy enjoys cleaning windows and watching into people’s homes, but the collecting money job is what he enjoys the most, because he is alone and nobody is hurrying him. One day he is collecting from his old classmate’s house, and later that night his classmate finds him and steals all the money. The boy ends up getting fired, not because Phil does not believe him, but because no one else does. Characterize the boy: The boy is 16 years old. He is fat, slow, and stupid. He was even surprised about not going to college though he failed all of his exams. But he has many good characteristics to. He gets hired in the end of October, and in Northern England it is always hard to get a reliable lad who shows up for work every day during the winter, but the boy stands in front of Phil’s carage before Phil comes out every day in the week. That really proves him reliable. Phil also has enough trust in him to collect the week’s profits every Thursday night. The boy is a daydreamer. In the start he is creating his own dream memory of his real parent’s old house, and how his mom could cook a whole lot better than those cocks on TV. This shows that he misses them. In the end he is looking at a magazine whit an astonishing woman on the front-page. The boy sounds convinced that he will marry a girl as beautiful as her one day.
