Cooking well is having respect for not only who you are cooking for, but acknowledging where your food comes from - not only the farmer, but animals too. One Saturday morning at the crack of dawn, I woke after hitting the snooze button several times. I remembered that I had signed up to volunteer at the Haven of Rest Soup Kitchen in Abbeville, S.C.As I Headed down to the soup kitchen, I was regretful that I had to wake up early on a Saturday morning. When I arrived there, the volunteers were preparing for the day. The soup kitchen volunteers were divided into groups. One group of volunteers was preparing the food while the other was setting up tables.
I loved that job and miss it very much .The only thing the kids needed there was love because the place was already filled with happiness. The second volunteered assignment was just for a day. I had to clean and bring food to the Ronald McDonald house. After two volunteered assignments I noticed that volunteering is important for numerous reasons that benefit both the community and the volunteer themselves. When someone donates a hand full of time the difference made is tremendous and it shapes a community for the better while the experience improves the person who donated the time.
Stephanie has learned many of the aspects of the supermarket business. From week to week she can work at the checkout counter, stocking shelves or the new culinary department. Stephanie really enjoys the new culinary department. This department uses some of the best products that the story sells to create foods that people enjoy. Stephanie enjoys talking to the customs and taking them around the story to show them where the ingredients are to make the delioues foods she has created.
When I go to a place to spend my money, I like good customer services as well as good food. If the food is good I might come back if the service is bad. If the food and service is bad I will not come back without calling the manager. I also talk about it to my friends to let them know of my experience. I enjoy going to places like Chik Fil A because the services and the people there are so friendly and therefore I could go there every day if possible.
I work locally at the Runza in David City and I meet a lot of people. Since I have been working there for so long, I know the usual customers. It is so pleasing to be able to recognize people in the community through work. One of the things I try to do if a usual customer comes in is to recognize them and ask if they would like their regular. Giving them recognition creates a customer-employee relationship and makes the workplace seem more inviting to everyone by being friendly like this.
During this creative movement, Warhol was able to express his societal views through art. The original inspiration for the picture comes from the artist's fond memories of Cambell's Soup, which he ate routinely as a child in the Pennsylvania mining community. This industrious background allowed Warhol to realize a societal view deeper within the variety of the cans he saw and used every day. The slight variation in the repetitious cans represents a tension between the streamlined structures within society and the importance of individualism to maintain a personal identity. The immediate view of the picture on first glance is that each Cambell's Soup can is identical and cloned multiple times.
The temperatures were average and the company supplied food and snacks for lunch and breaks. Seating arrangements were at tables which made it easier when we split into group sessions. It also gave a more welcoming feeling to me as a new hire and student. The instructor was very knowledgeable and helpful in assisting or explaining when there were questions. The objectives of the training were as follow: Training methods: Presentation which included lecture and audiovisual used to explain history of company and what the vision and mission are for the company.
Everything also felt somewhat eco-friendly, and there were informative blurbs placed strategically informing the customers as to the health benefits of their meat supplements. I personally expected that the meal would feel rather differently from a typical meal, being a meat-eater myself, but I found that the meal was surprisingly pleasant. I did not feel stuffed or too full after the meal. I usually find myself feeling this way after a typical meal eaten out. I also noticed that for sides, rather than the typical French fries that are offered at restaurants, the choices were cabbage slaw and chili.
Opening a Mexican restaurant is a valuable way to express my cultural food traditions so one day they will not be lost into future generations. I am considering in opening a traditional authentic Mexican restaurant not only because I want to share my culture with others but also because I enjoy cooking. I have learned how to cook by just observing my mother in the kitchen. She always has me help her prepare dinner and sometimes make lunch. I want to begin a new business in a little community that I love to be in and also be able to see a stronger bond between my community.
