My cultural traditions are important to me. One of my strongest desires is to share my culture’s background with other people from my community. A step I can take to make my desire a strong performance with other individuals is to start a business of my own. I would like to open a traditional Mexican restaurant where delicious food is served everyday. Opening a Mexican restaurant is a valuable way to express my cultural food traditions so one day they will not be lost into future generations. I am considering in opening a traditional authentic Mexican restaurant not only because I want to share my culture with others but also because I enjoy cooking. I have learned how to cook by just observing my mother in the kitchen. She always has me help her prepare dinner and sometimes make lunch. I want to begin a new business in a little community that I love to be in and also be able to see a stronger bond between my community. The best way to bring a community together is to have them sit down together and have lunch or dinner. Being a responsible individual, I think I will be a successful business owner in opening a restaurant, in such a small town. I am not afraid to try new things and take a leadership roles to a higher level. For instance, in my high school I am involved in many extracurricular activities. One of the clubs I am involved in is Key Club, a club based on community service. Last week I applied to be the vice president of the club and recently this week I found out that I had won the official vice president position. Even though I know taking new risks is not always going to be a positive outcome, I try to find a solution to continue whatever it is I am trying to accomplish.
