Both having their similarities and differences, they play huge roles in the books “The Hunger games” and “To Kill a Mockingbird”. One could easily see that Scout is the mature girl she is because of her wise father, Atticus Finch. Atticus taught her to be open minded, and to treat every human at the same level. Katniss’ father also played a huge role in the maturity level of Katniss. Since her passed away in a mine explosion, she was forced to look over the family.
She states that now that she is older, she still tries her best to take care of her body by going to the gym 2-3 times a week but this activity takes more out of her than before. She notices that the things that she used to do before now take a lot more energy and effort. However, she keeps very active and one of her passions is participating in walk a thons throughout the year. This she says helps in keeping her fit. She enjoys taking Salsa dancing classes and is also attending college part time to obtain her bachelor degree.
Now that’s growing up without a childhood. Jane Smiley seems like a great parent who cares about her children but to allow her daughters to put on makeup even entering their teenage years just isn’t right. Her girls where prematurely growing up, where behaving beyond their age, and with their only priority being beautiful at all times it seem to help them in the long run. As they burned off the “Barbie stage” and grew into more important things down their lives. Like for example Smiley talks about her older daughter, “Now she is planning to graduate school and law school and become an expert on woman’s health issues, perhaps adolescent health issues like anorexia and bulimia” (377).
“Ordeal By Cheque” By: Julia Baer There once was this lady named Meredith, and she was around 24 years old. She was 12 months pregnant. She also had a husband named Brad that was around the same age as her. One day they decided they needed to start buying baby products for their infant coming in a few weeks. They spent a good amount in the store but it was just because they weren’t prepared.
The co-op experience helped in exploring this field and seeing how it is in the real world. At the end of the program, I weighed all the good and bad points about this profession and came to a conclusion that the good outweighed the bad. Through my stay at the dental office, I’ve seen people quit the job even after fifteen years of working at the dental office only because of miscommunication and a weak relationship with her boss, the dentist. Another hygienist approached me and gave me very useful information, shared stories and passed helpful advices. With roughly about two years of hard work and intensive studying which includes theoretical and practical classes will get one to the title as a professional hygienist.

I was so excited because it was my first real job, and I had a friend from school that worked there also, her name’s Jessiee. Jessiee’s co-workers called her “hipster”, for good reason. She couldn’t have weighed over 100 pounds and dyed her hair an unhealthy amount of times a month. When she wasn’t working she had plugs in her ears and many piercings. I’ve went to school with her since we were in the seventh grade.
I am so very excited to see them excel in school. My little Evie is three and all she talks about is school, how she cannot wait to go and truthfully I can’t wait for her to go either. You see, once my girls are in school I will be able to go back to work and have adult conversations on a regular basis again. My days of changing dirty diapers, potty training, and watching cartoons all day will be behind me. Then I read the part of Welty’s story where Phoenix has to cross the creek and she said “Now comes the trial”.

After a month my mom also got job so after that we spent our life with ease but at the same time we were saving money. Next trouble was we all had to stay dependent on ride because of lack of car. We were walking to Wal-Mart and other stores to get grocery. It was hard but we did it also in winter too I still remember that me and my mom were walking 2-3 miles every day from work to house. So probably after one year we got our first used car.
