Six Dimensions of Health Worksheet Part 1 For each of the following six dimensions of health, list at least one characteristic, activity, belief, or attitude that reflects that dimension in your life. Provide a brief explanation with each example. Refer to Ch. 1 in the text for explanations of these dimensions. Physical health: Physical is your appearance and how you maintain and taken care of it. It also helps when there are physical tasks in you life that need to be done. One characteristic of this can be the size and shape of your body. I need to stay in good physical shape to not only help me at work, but to keep up with my children because they are so active. Social health: Social health allows you to have interactions in a social environment and behave accordingly. This is a very important for your overall health. If this dimension is out of order you will not be able to act accordingly around other people in society. This is important to me because I can talk and show my kids how to behave correctly. Intellectual health: Intellectual health allows you to think clearly. It allows you to learn from your mistakes and how to make the right decisions. This dimension allows me to make the correct choices for my family. Environmental health: Environmental health is how you treat the environment around you. This allows us to try and help improve the environment around us. Emotional health: Emotional health allows you to express your feelings. Not being to express can result in you keeping them inside. By doing this you may express them at the wrong time and possibly using the wrong tone. Spiritual health: Spiritual health involves your beliefs.
