Singles tennis, and Doubles tennis. Topic A: Singles Tennis. Topic B: Doubles Tennis. Singles tennis is more tiring than Doubles. My essay will focus on differences. Introduction. Tennis has a lot of fanatics and players, but there are two main categories in that beautiful sport: singles and doubles; some people rather playing singles than doubles, while other people enjoy more playing with a partner. It is reflected on the type of people who plays singles and the type of people who plays doubles, which one is more active It is a fact that tennis in singles mode is more exhausting than doubles. Point1: Singles tennis is more tiring because you have to cover the whole court by yourself, on the other side, in doubles, you have a partner that helps you covering a part of the court, so you just have to focus in certain area of the court. A. In singles you have to cover the whole court by yourself a.i. You have to return every serve. a.ii. You have to hit the ball each it comes to your side. a.iii. You have to run to every ball that hits your side of the court. B. On the other side, when you have a partner, you just cover a part of the court, limiting your moves to the area that corresponds you. a.i. You don't have to run and reach a ball that doesn't belongs to your area. a.ii. You and your partner have synchronized plays. a.iii. One cover the short court and the net, while the other one stands on the baseline. Point2: Singles mode have longer points than doubles. A. In singles, you have to move your rival all along the court; you can hit the ball wherever you want and think he won't reach it; This produces very long and tough points in a match. a.i.
