Ethical issues vary from legal issues because ethical issues are individualistic and legal issues are embodied in a system that governs society. The legal system gives continuous guidance regardless of the ethical issues involves (Guido, 2010). Personal values are individual thoughts about an idea, object, or a belief. Individuals communicate their needs through values, Rassin, (2008) states that, “social science considers values a key motivator for human behavior.” Personal values are derived from family teachings, religious beliefs, and societal. “Personal values are basic motivation beliefs about desirable modes or outcomes of individual behavior” (Rassin, 2008, p. 8).
Realizing what is truly important to us is a major step towards achieving personal success. Once a person fully knows who they are, they are able to see limitations and opportunities. Personal success is being able to allow for personal growth. Success can mean having a family, friends, and a mediocre paying job that satisfies. It is important to keep a balance of the important things in one’s life otherwise, weaknesses can be developed that shadows over a person’s natural strength to prioritize.

The success of a motivated team is dependent on how well individual team members are motivated and the blending of their personalities. The DISC assessment evaluation of each member of Team B provides a structured platform to develop a motivational plan that will meet the demands necessary to manage different personality styles in the work environment. My belief is to have a aim in life, and work towards it, whether it be a aim in life to work towards, whether it be higher qualifications to better my job prospects or working towards bettering my career path, each is a great belief for me to acheive as this will be beneficial to my children and improve my way of life. While my Values and Beliefs are important to me I appreciate that not everyone values the same qualities. While it has not been an issue in my current position I could say that I may have less empathy or patience for people who are more work shy or don't work to my standard. It is important that i dont allow my beliefs and values to place a strain on my relationships with both colleauges and service users. Working in the Health sector, you are most likely to come accross people with views you dont agree with and some people wont understand your point of view.

This paper will explain how to design a general comprehensive code of ethics (GCOE) for General Comprehensive of Ethics, LCC. In addition this paper will compare the GCOE to this leaner’s personal ethnical beliefs and two other codes organizations of ethics. The goals of (GCOE) are transparent, inclusive and comprehensive. The goals for (GCOE) are: to empower individuals through self-sufficiency, to provide commitment to lawful and ethical conduct, to deliver services that are of good quality, to maintain financial responsibility and stewardship, to act honest and fairly and exercise the best judgment, care and services to its clients.
I have to act in the person’s best interest but instead of encouraging them to avoid risks I have to support them and enable them to taking part in activities. I have to act in the individuals best interest, keep them safe, carry out risk assessments, promote informed choices but also respect their decision and right to live their life as they choose. If the risk seems great to me I would document it and discuss the matter with my manager. Another area where duty of care dilemmas may arise are confidentiality issues. When a confidential information is shared with me and it concerns safeguarding and there is a possibility of harm or someone’s wellbeing is threathened I might have to make a decision and disclose this information.
Personal values can be loosely defined as traits or qualities that are considered worthwhile and can represent one’s highest priorities and deeply held values. The Williams Institute Ethics Awareness inventory can give a person an idea of what their ethical styles and perspectives maybe. These values do not only pertain to a person’s personal life but it also translates to the workplace. Universalism is where people should uphold certain values, such honesty as well as other values that society needs in order to function correctly. Universal principles may be powerful and useful, however what people say, hope, or think they would do is often now what is actually done in the long run. Egoism is acceptable behavior which maximizes benefits for an individual “doing the right thing,’ the focus of moral philosophy is defined by egoism as “do the act that promotes the greatest good for oneself” (mhhe.com, Ethics and Corporate Responsibility). Utilitarianism, unlike egoism, seeks the greatest good for the greatest amount of people. Organizations seek the greats good for the largest amount of consumers they can supply to, increasing their need for product.

INDEPENDENCE: Individual’s should be supported to maintain their independence because it enables them to have choice and control over their lives and the services they use (Moonie, N 2006). INDIVIDUALITY: Professionals should be aware of the individual’s original identity and work with them as individuals rather than the needs of a group of people with particular reference to their weaknesses, abilities and personalities (Moonie, N 2006). RIGHTS: the Human Rights Act 1998 gives the individual’s certain rights and should be respected and protected at all time (Moonie N 2006).
Self esteem is the overall sense of self-worth we use to appraise our traits and abilities (Myer, 2010). Our self-concepts are determined by multiple influences, including roles we play, the comparisons we make, our social identities, how we perceive others appraising us, and our experiences of success and failure (Myers, 2010). With the decisions I make I hold my head high do not allow others to influence my decisions either bad or good. My life choices may not be accepting of others but they are mine and are acceptable to me.
