Some examples of physical abuse are scratching, slapping, hitting, biting, restraint or inappropriate sanctions. Emotional/psychological abuse- Emotional abuse, mental abuse a form of mistreatment in which there is intent to cause mental or emotional pain or injury.
Soreness around the genital area, a sexually transmitted infection, unexpected pregnancy or change in normal behaviour for example a precoccupation with anything sexual. Emotional/Psychological This type of abuse is usually visiable in most types of abuse. It may be humiliating another person, treating them as a child or taking away their wishes or basic human rights. This causes immense suffering and effects their quality of life. The person may lose all their confidence and feel anxious and upset.
1.2 The signs of physical abuse are bruising on the body, cuts and burns. The signs of sexual abuse are not easy to spot without examination of the genital area these signs are bruising, chafing or bite marks around the genital area; they have caught a sexual transmitted infection. Another sign is they have become withdrawn into themselves. Signs of physiological abuse could be lack of sleep, an unexpected charge in their behaviour; they may become more fearful around new people. Financial abuse symptoms could be that they haven’t got enough money for bills when they are usually good at paying them
