Poem on Conformity ____________________________ Put downs and humiliation, Are you afraid of a little confrontation? A little talk is all I want, Because all you seem to do is flaunt. Taunt me, knowing I’m getting angry, While I’m in the distance watching you with your friends, Telling me to wait but that all depends. On what? If you can come up with a good lie? What do you think I’m a spy? A little “fly” on the wall? I can’t take this anymore, I’m about to end it all. Go on with your little friends, But I’m going to let you know this, This is the last time I’m going to be dissed. The next day I don’t even understand, I ASKED what you did last night, It wasn’t a demand! If you don’t want to tell me that’s fine, So you can get off your high horse, Before I dig deep, very deep in your remorse. So how about this? Introduce me to your friends, But wait does it all still depend? On anything, do you even think I’m worth it? Why do you even do this to me? You keep me out of touch, and you put me in my place. And you sit back and laugh in my face, you go through such trials and tribulation, to protect your stupid reputation.
