These activities further encouraged my interest of being involved in the healthcare field. Therefore, I did a month long internship shadowing the physical therapist that rehabilitated my knee injury and then later shadowed a chiropractor. Once I got to college, I started to contemplate what I really wanted to do with Athletic Training. This is when I read an article online that really caught my attention about some of the advances being made with prosthetics. I began to do additional research and became more and more fascinated by the idea of working with amputees.
Soccer has helped me become a better leader as a student, and in my community, where I play a role and try to achieve my best at everything I do. Whether, it is working to become a better person, an excellent student, or an outstanding member of my community. Throughout my years of soccer my coaches and parents have been there to build me into the man I am today, without soccer I don’t know where I would be today. Although, many people believe that the coaches and my parents have been the one to influence me to become who I am, I believe that soccer and its discipline have been the foundation to help me and define who I am now. I started playing soccer at the age of five those were the most magnificence days growing up.
Gabrielle Lener National Honor Society Acceptance Request Letter 11th grade The Race Towards My Academic Goal When I first received the invitation to apply to the National Honor Society (N.H.S), my initial thoughts were of appreciation for the recognition of my hard work during these past academic years. To think of myself as a member of the N.H.S is an honor that could have a profound impact on the future I would like to achieve. Over the past several years, I have driven myself to be self-motivated and I knew the only person that could do that was myself. To be considered a member of this prestigious organization is both an honor and a challenge to continue to improve my mind and leadership roles as I embark upon the journey of a higher education. Being chosen as a candidate for membership of the N.H.S has caused me to reflect on my personal achievements.

It means to be confident in achieving your goals in spite of challenges faced. As I prepared to enter my final year in high school, I could not imagine a greater honor and a more rewarding challenge than to serve the school community as a steward in charge of sport. Through my participation in basketball as a first team player, I learnt the importance of teamwork, respect, and being rooted in Christian values. My experiences involved repeating the same technique every day, yet yielding different outcomes. This empowered me to serve my team mates and to inspire them to seek excellence in all their pursuits.

During my time at Crabtree High School I believe I have developed many different skills and I am confident that becoming a prefect would allow me to develop many more. We wouldn’t be where we are today without the help from our teachers and families. As an expeditionary learning school we do a lot of hands on activities. I would like to thank our teachers for helping us learn a lot and making it fun at the same time. They are the ones who organized activities like the Tenth Mountain Division hut trips and The Civil War Reenactment. Both of these experiences have taught me about important lessons in greater depth than I would have learned in a classroom.

Being a part of drill team has helped me with control by helping others in learning routines or chants with taking charge when others do not. I learned that although I am young, I am in control of my own progress, and I am the one who can change situations for better or for worse. The biggest impact my drill team experience has given me, is determination to push myself to achieve. Without the heart or skill to do something there is no progression. This experience describes the dedication I have to go to college because it showed me I am capable of handling the challenges it may offer.
Eventually and after many struggles I came upon my choice of career that I felt fit me perfectly in every way. My career of choice was to become a Paralegal. I choose this career for many reasons, and when reading over the passage from Mr. McCullough’s speech I felt that my choice fit his advice perfectly. Reading it really made me affirmative in my choice and even more excited for the day when I graduate college and can go look for a job in that particular field. I also believe his words to be true because the more we enjoy the work that we do the less we will see it as work and more as an enjoyment that we have the opportunity to partake of every
