Have you ever felt stuck or the feeling of being alone? Anxiety crawls through your body as the teacher goes around calling on random students to answer questions. The teacher points at you, and you break. Your face turns red you feel as hot as the sun. Trying to answer the question to the best of your ability, but you stumble up your words. Feeling so dumb, you tell yourself you should not, but the feeling still lingers. Teens in high school deal with so much anxiety and depression. It is unhealthy for students in school to feel this pressure. Feeling this way can cause some to face depression and even lead to suicide. Teen’s mental health is important and homeschooling is better for teens who struggle with mental health problems. Mental health is an individual's emotional well-being. By hiding away at home seems like the worst thing to do if someone has social problems. Sadly, there are teens that think they can just do homeschool, stay at home, and play video games all day. For those teens, they are doing homeschooling for the wrong reason. Teens can get involved with other people by volunteering at different places such as nursing homes, children organizations, etc. Teens can also keep social skills by joining dance lessons or do sports outside of the local school. Also, some communities allow homeschoolers to participate in sports, clubs and other extracurricular activities at public schools. (Patrick Farenga) Understanding that teens need stressful situations to learn what to do and how to react in the future with even harder situations. Young adults and teens need problems to progress in life. It is important for youths to get that experience. Although public schools stress level is overwhelming. The level of intensity for everything causes students to panic, and give up and not try because it takes so much energy and stressful
