Personal narrative “Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened” (Dr. Seuss). Xavier Ramirez is what they call me. Society defines people on: how they look, how they dress, how they talk, and their physical appearance. I define someone by their actions. Actions will delineate and define you. My parents, Araceli Cervantes and Catalino Ramirez, raised me to appreciate and cherish everything I have, even the smallest of things must be embraced. I am involved in many activities in an out of school. I keep myself busy at school by participating in the H.O.P.E. Medical Academy, where They help me strive to my career and the future I dream to have, In Key Club, where I can give back to my community, I go to Teen Court, where I can restore peace and bring back justice to this world, and my favorite and I personally think is the most important, Marching band. At GCU (Grand Canyon University) they had a presentation on Medical Technology and the careers related to it and let me tell you one thing, I found my true passion. This wasn’t the kind of passion I had for music, it was a whole new level of passion. This was something I could see my self doing for the rest of my life. It was going to be more than just a hobbie. It was going to my future. I’m now volunteering at Tempe St. Lukes Hospital and devoting my time not only to marching band, but my career as a Laboratory Medical Technologist.
