Drill team gave me the knowledge that grades in high school do play an important role in life and I knew that if I put enough heart into it I would succeed. My coaches made an impact on me because they differentiated me from other and made me realize that I made a huge difference to the team. They gave me the opportunity to showcase what I had, which made me sense I was notable and helped to raise my confidence. I have never been able to adjust to situations as well as others but the confidence I gained from drill team experiences helped to change that. My confidence plays a big role in the person I am today.
To be able to achieve a superior rating at these contests, one must practice every week. I have been able to achieve superior ratings in all but one of my performances. It is very rewarding to me, being goal oriented, to receive such high ratings. There may be challenges, but there are more rewards. Think back to when you were in high school - your first relationship, your best friends, all of the fun that you had.
Writing music was always one of those things that came naturally to me. I have really enjoyed writing, since I was young, but more than anything, I enjoyed writing songs that related to my life. I would spend hours coming up with the perfect lyrics, tune, (etc.) Singing comes just as naturally to me as writing. I began singing at the age of 6.
I will never forget that night whenever I hear or listened to “Take my breath away” for I would always imagine myself in that dress and rocking that stage again. I remember falling in love for the first time in my life with this one significant other when I was in high school. I did not know how to express my feelings to him, so instead of writing him a letter, a poem, a simple phone call, or even have the courage to just talk to him straight face to face, I called the radio station and dedicated a samoan love song to him. I told one of my friends to tell him to listen to dedications that day and to my surprise, he dedicated a song to me the next day and the third day he asked me out. Growing up from a religious family, I was so devoted to church and religious music affected my life for it made me understand God, got closer to him and even build a strong relationship with him.
Music Analysis Mus-120 December 4, 2013 For my presentation I choose the song “Love Into the Light” by Ke$ha. When people think of Ke$ha, they usually think of someone who just wants to party, dance, and have sex, but there is more to her and her songs than just that. Kesha Sebret was “born in Los Angeles on March 1, 1987” (Kesha). She moved to Nashville shortly after, with her mother, Pebe Sebret, and her older brother Lagan. Ke$ha’s mother was also a singer/songwriter, which influenced Ke$ha at a young age and got her familiar with writing and recording songs (Kesha).

Voting for me would allow them to have a better secretary for the rest of the year and possibly a better representative next year. By voting for me to go to CASL, my classmates would benefit because we would have a better & experienced leader in their class. I have shown major commitment and dedication to both leadership and my class. Every single day (even Mondays), I am early and ready to learn how to become a better leader. I have also been at almost every single workday the freshman class has had for all required events.
When I know the outcome, it gives me the inner desire to learn. I’ve known for years that a college education will give me a better life as for a career, money, and happiness. This is what motivates me to go back to college at the age of 61. My life is not over, it has just begun. Just like Chris, I have seen that finish line so many times, but there have been things in my life that have knocked me down and I learned from it just like Fred.
