To be able to achieve a superior rating at these contests, one must practice every week. I have been able to achieve superior ratings in all but one of my performances. It is very rewarding to me, being goal oriented, to receive such high ratings. There may be challenges, but there are more rewards. Think back to when you were in high school - your first relationship, your best friends, all of the fun that you had.
It gives soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination, and charm and gaiety to life and to everything." --Plato "Nothing separates the generations more than music. By the time a child is eight or nine, he has developed a passion for his own music that is even stronger than his passions for procrastination and weird clothes." --Bill Cosby So the essay contest writing prompt for July & August 2012 was simple: In 500 words or less, share a story about an important moment in your life and how music, or a song, played its role. The writing contest prize included a Stage of Life SWAG package that contained $100 in sponsor gift cards.
Voting for me would allow them to have a better secretary for the rest of the year and possibly a better representative next year. By voting for me to go to CASL, my classmates would benefit because we would have a better & experienced leader in their class. I have shown major commitment and dedication to both leadership and my class. Every single day (even Mondays), I am early and ready to learn how to become a better leader. I have also been at almost every single workday the freshman class has had for all required events.
This feedback has informed me that I am progressing well as a footballer. School Football In one year of my school football my team reached the final but last year in Year 6 I was chosen by my school to represent them in the Ku-Ring Gai PSSA Football Trials. Who knows! Maybe they will like it. Pierce the Veil is a perfect band and a great inspiration. They have been my favorite for almost five years now and will continue to be. Their music is my passion and maybe some day in the future I will get to work with or for
In September writing was my biggest problem but now it has gotten much easier to punctuate and organize all my writing pieces. But on another note I feel as if I should have put more effort toward all my work I did, I never hit those A+ grades everyone said I should have gotten so next year I will do everything in my power to prove them right because I know I can do better I just need another chance next year. All the strategies I was taught will stay with me forever I will use them through high school and even collage because they helped me and others
Her "shoot for the moon" attitude make me want to work harder and reach for more ambitious goals. Thanks to Ms. Morrow, our Women's and Mixed choirs made it to state level competitions last year. She has given me the guidance to follow my dreams and the power to overcome anything that makes life an obstacle. I also have been given the opportunity to participate in the 2010-2011 All-State Women’s Choir thanks to Ms. Morrow. I will truly miss her after graduating high
To be inducted into the National Honors Society, to me, would be my greatest accomplishment in Lenape High School. To know that my intense hard work paid off in the end would institute the self-confidence in myself in which I know that I can take the world by storm. Growing up in the shadows of two brilliant older siblings, shining both in academics as well as athleticism I’ve always had to fight to make my name prominent in my family. Essentially, I wished to shine the light on myself for a change. Now the question lies before me: “why should you be inducted into the National Honors Society?” The National Honors Society is an organization that only exceptional students and members of the community are inducted.
Instead of playing on the varsity team, I played for the Frosh-Soph team and made team captain as well. While on the team, I made new friends and got closer to my coach. My coach helped me cope with my family issues I was facing. She pushed me harder both mentally and physically. With her help, I got better in the sport and helped us win 7 out of our 16 season games.
In every test or quiz given to them, they get mastery or above on them because they study and read over their notes every night. They encourage and empower me to renew my commitment to my education. Whenever I don’t feel motivated or just feel like giving up, I think of them and remind myself that they didn’t reach that level naturally or because they are geniuses. They reached that level because they took advantage from the beginning and practiced good study habits so the information stuck to them. And so in short, they worked hard for it and put effort into it.
