Person-centred approaches inclued, Treating the person as an individual with dignity and respect, looking at the individual as a whole person, not just meeting one aspect of their needs, listening and helping the individual to make informed choices, working in a partnership with the individual. Person-centred values must influence all aspects of social care as it is embedded in social policy and legislation. Putting putting people first and valuing them also the essential standaards. It should respect the rights of everyone and to be at the centre of their each personal care plan. All care workers should focus on the individual persons wants and how to provided. 2. Understand how to implement a person-centred approach in an adult social care setting. The care plan is about the individual and their preferences, needs and wishes, it should give information to others on the individual and enables the care plan to be completed accuratley and relect the individual. If Mrs D has a dressing on her wound and as soon as its dressed she is taking it off which can cause infection and her family are complaining that the dressing off. If the Mrs D has full capacity to make her own choices and knows what she is doing all we can do is implement her care plan which cover this. A care plan is a document that the carer fills out on each shift about the indiviual. it also tells you their day to day requirements i.e personal care, dietary requirements. It also tells you a bit about their history about the individual. It is also important to monitor the changes in needs and preferances of the person as family and relationships could change or health needs such as mobility,diet, personal hygiene. 3. Understand the importance of establishing consent
