But many people ask what it that makes this sandwich so delicious? Many argue that it’s the creaminess of the peanut butter. While others would argue that it is the sweetness and fruity flavor of the jelly. One thing is certain, without each other peanut butter and jelly would not be the success they are today. Peanut butter comes in many different varieties. From chunky, crunchy, smooth, spreadable, and just regular old peanut butter, everyone enjoys the taste of peanut butter. The greatest thing about this delicacy is how it goes well on nearly everything. Peanut butter and apples, peanut butter and bananas and peanut butter with celery, the combinations are delectable and endless. Peanut butter is not only a yummy treat, it is also great for one’s health. It is full of vitamins and proteins which are great for hair skin and nails. It is also packed with essential vitamins and has been shown to help lose weight. However, this nutty spread would be nothing without its sweet counterpart known as jelly. Jam, jelly, or preserves whatever the preferred name is one thing is certain, it is a sweet, gelatinous paste that some claim is the best part of a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Unlike peanut butter, jam does not possess the same amount of vitamins and minerals but packs a huge punch on your taste buds. This is because jelly can be made from a variety of fruits including: grapes, strawberries, cherries, and apples. Apple jelly goes great on muffins, while strawberry jam taste amazing on morning toast. The variety of fruits makes it an ideal topping for cakes, waffles, or pancakes.
