Daily physical activity is necessary for building strong bones and muscles as well as strengthening hearts and lungs. Exercise also helps young children to improve their gross motor skills, including running, kicking, throwing, and swinging. Regular physical activity can greatly decrease children's risk of becoming obese and developing associated health problems, as well as promoting better sleep. As well, since many young children play with other kids, exercise time can also help young children to develop good social skills such as sharing, communicating, and empathizing. Play time can also become a family experience which serves to bond family members together and allow adult members an opportunity to model healthy exercise habits for children.
It encourages children to learn at their own level that they feel comfortable and confident with, therefore enhancing the opportunity for developing many social and intellectual skills. Skinner Skinners theories are used widely in practices as we praise children for positive behavior or for performing an action correctly, Skinners theory on negative behavior was putting a child on timeout. 1.2 Explain the potential impact on service provision of different theories and approaches I feel that we use a bit of all these theories and approaches in our setting. The children use their own choice and freedom to develop their own play. As each child starts in our setting, their parents fill in a portfolio, which helps our staff learn their likes and dislikes and their favorite toy, song and story.
Group workouts, particularly are a fun way of engaging the children in various kinds of exercise and enriching them with knowledge pertaining to health and wellness. Additionally, there are multiple life lessons and personal values kids can learn from the spirit of teamwork- self esteem, self concept, social interaction skills amongst others. One of the values I have learnt through collective workouts is inspiring and drawing inspiration from other members to be a fitter and better
Help Improve Own and Team Practice in Schools 3.1 – 3.4 I believe team work is important in any work place but especially in a school setting as primarily, it is for the benefit of the children. Working well in a team will ensure the entire school runs to its full potential, which will then make sure everyone achieves excellent results, which will fuel positivity and a willingness to strive to work harder and better, for the children. There is a lot of organising and work to be carried out to run an effective and efficient setting for children to learn, grow and play in. It is very easy to get caught up in one task at a time but in reality, the more organised we are with our planning and communication skills the more we are able to work together to identify tasks which need to be completed and offer a quick and easy solution. There are set tasks I do every day such as setting out the book boxes for the children to change their reading books for homework daily and putting out their name cards so they take responsibility for locating their name cards when they arrive in the morning and putting them on the name board.
Assessment criteria 3.2 Social organisations and relationships within the class room are again another great learning tool. If you group children together and work with them on tasks within the curriculum, they will start to develop a strong learning relationship. You could see that the group dynamics will often change on particular tasks, where a more confident child on this task will take lead over a more confident child on another task. If the children see the adults within the class react well and interact with other children, they will get a better response from them. Children are put into groups in order to give them the best learning potential and for their learning to be appropriate for their age and level of understanding.
Physical Resources such as classrooms are important in improving the overall performance because the tables allow the students to learn about the subject that they are taking within certain years of the school. The effective management of this will allow the kids to be in a nice environment which will make them want to come to school and want to learn Also the classrooms are important because this
From this, my students will be able to express their individuality and I can help them develop this. I want my student athletes to be unique and, with that in mind, possess unique skills as it pertains to sports. I believe that if student athletes possess a firm understanding of who they are as individuals and what they are capable of, and then they can truly develop their individual style(s) of play. This in turn can help lead to team unity and can establish a team spirit within all the student athletes that can lead to camaraderie and ultimately, success. It is our job as educators and coaches to help develop our student athletes not only physically, but mentally as well; promoting uniqueness, along with individuality, can help in this developmental
Sports have always been viewed as a positive way to develop children and prepare them for life. Sports instill values into kids that are quality life lessons that can set the kids on the right track for their future. Due to the impact that sports can have on a person and their culture, morals, and ethics, the coach-player relationship is extremely important. The coach is the person who instills values into young men and women and can often be the most impactful person in a kid’s life outside of their parents. With that power comes responsibility.
What is the truth about youth sports? In this essay I will cover the different opinions and facts of youth sports. As a youth coach, I have gained an increased interest to learn the effects and benefits our youth are implementing at such a young age. As children we played sports for many different reasons. Some of those reasons were because sports are fun and competitive, because our friends played or because of the status that we gained from playing these sports.
Another factor as to why people said that enjoyment was what encouraged them to participate in physical activity could be because with some sports, especially team sports, enjoyment can be gained through developing friendships. This means that if they are enjoying themselves while exercising, they are often having a good time, share a few laughs with one another, and motivate each other to succeed. Either way, by socialising with other people while participating in physical activity, can assist in enjoying physical activity. From the survey we did of the school leavers (18-25 year olds) we found that 80% of the girls participated in physical activity for their health. A reason for this could be that they want to maintain their body image, keep themselves fit and active, rather than put on weight.
