I will be straight forward and honest with Hannah, i will tell her that i can not keep secret and that it is in her best interest that relevant people should be told in order to resolve the issue with her new medication.

Whilst it is Hannah’s right to make decisions for herself and choose not to want to take the medication, in this case from the information given it could be detrimental to her health and therefore I would explain to Hannah that the information given to me is in confidence. Although Hannah not taking her prescribed medication could put her at risk of harm and therefore I would need to pass the information on to my Manager to ensure her wellbeing is being addressed. It is Hannah’s choice who she shares information with and I would give her my assurance that the information would not be shared with her daughter unless she consented to it. Bii Describe the possible tensions that may arise between telling others of Hannah’s decision and keeping this information totally confidential.
It is Mrs Adams right to refuse any help or assistance through the Mental Capacity Act. What are the risks in this scenario? Mrs Adams refusing to allow me to move or adjust her position in bed is creating a high risk of pressure sores How can you try and resolve this conflict, what skills are needed? I would try and explain the situation in its entirety to Mrs Adams, and explain the outcome and seriousness of the possible symptoms that may occur if she was to not allow us to change her position as required. I would also seek the advice of a district nurse, and ask her to also explain in hope that it might make Mrs Adams see what is best for her in the long run.
This theme is best showed through the characterisation of Verge. As soon as Verge arrives in Den’s house it is made clear that Barbara doesn’t want Verge in her life. A different time secrets caused pain to others was when David comes back after days of being away with a pregnant girl named Rosemary. When Paul’s trying to convince his mother to let him stay home from school he describes her as talking calmly and with red eyes from crying (276). Norah is obviously hurt that David has come back with a pregnant girl as she assumes that Rosemary’s pregnant with David’s child.
As the movie progresses we also learn Susanna was hurt as a child will could lead her to hold that against her parents and be unable to become attached to them. As the psychiatrist says she engages in promiscuous behavior which if not protected can lead to stds which has severe comlications. Strengths: Susanna does not seem to care what others think about her Weaknesses: Will never be able to fully be happy and or comfortable with a normal relationship Attachment issues Risks: Death Damaging friendships and family relationships Drug use r/t depression STDs r/t promiscuous behavior Plan/Intervention: As the movie shows someone like Susanna suffering from this illness needs to be institutionalized immediately and seek the help of a psychiatrist to begin to get a better grip on her illness. One on one counseling is the best for Susanna even though she doesn’t seem to respond to it. Another benefit would be incorporating her parents into more sessions because I believe half of the issue lies with them.

The insecurity that she has when it comes to her mother is apparent because no child who has a healthy relationship with their guardian thinks that they would get left behind if the parent moves away.
