This past weekend I was able to take a trip out to Charlottesville Va to see the Monticello which is the home of Thomas Jefferson. I had a wonderful time there and I loved all of the views that you get of the great mountain sides inside the house. I took a trip out there to see my old high school football team play in the State Championship game. It’s a little expensive to see the house, it cost us 17 dollars a piece to get a tour of the beautiful place, and it was well worth every penny. The whole place is great from the welcome center, Shops and the Monticello it’s self.
The State Police in Oklahoma humiliated an Army General Gerald for two hours and his son because they were African American. They were told to get out of their car and they were handcuffed without the police having a reason to. The police also asked if they can search Gerald’s car and Gerald said no. The police didn’t respect what Gerald had said and they searched his car anyway. The police brought drug-sniffing dogs since they were African American they expected them to have drugs in the car.

ART 199 Karmin Godina May 8, 2013 From His Lens to My Soul Never before had I thought of a photograph as art until I was introduced to a photograph taken by Ansel Adams. I found myself standing in front the framed piece for quite some time enjoying every aspect of the picture. It was his famous photo of Bridalveil Fall at Yosemite National Park. I knew at that moment that I was going to take it home. When I got home I did some research on the internet and found that overall most of his work was done in black and white, and that most of his work was of nature.

I was afraid of heights, so at one time I told my parents that I was too scare to do it, but I had no choice because the tickets was already bought. On the day of the flight my family woke up at 6:00am and we were out the door at 7:00am. We have already packed 3 days ahead of times so that I knew I wasn’t missing anything as we head to Tan Son Nhat International Airport, located seven kilometers (4.3 miles) to the center of Ho Chi Minh City, and is the largest airport in the country. The ride that I had to get there has to be the longest ride I have been on. When I was on the car ride to the Airport it felt like time had slowed down and it was torturing me for how long it took to get there.
