The planning process of developing my lesson plan was done in various stages. I first thought about how to stimulate the students' interest in a topic or subject relating my specialization, but also to the students’. I planned to introduce my lesson by using the inquiry based learning strategy, by posing a general question to the class (What is food hygiene?).In planning I did not want to make the mistake of assuming what students know about the lesson topic so I decided to take the time to assess their background knowledge.
