My Experience at Cafe Awkward

At 10.15 in the morning of Wednesday the 14th of August 2013, I was looking for Cafe Awkward. I was alone and there were no signs or numbers on the buildings. I knew I was very close to the café and after a while I found it. There were two people behind the counter and straight away one of them came over to talk to me. There was a good selection on the menu, with a good choice of coffees and juices at reasonable prices. On the counter were loyalty cards for coffee with a great promotional idea of "Buy nine and getting the next one free." When the waiter was taking my order, I noticed he had good eye contact with me and good body language also. I ordered a coffee, which cost $3.80, the waiter offered me a seat and said he would bring the coffee to me. There were five or six tables inside, three tables outside and two tables in the corridor. It was easy to access all tables and I took the last vacant table inside. The waiter brought my coffee to me along with a glass of water but did not offer a napkin. I looked around but there were no napkins on the tables nor on the counter. Therefore, I went to the counter to ask for a napkin. Two waiters were talking to the chef; one turned around and I asked him for a napkin. He apologized and gave me one. Napkins should be provided with all menu items. In fact, in Australia it is expected. There should also be a small supply available on all tables or easily available at the front counter. I was enjoying my coffee, looking at a magazine and listening to music which was playing in the cafe. It was a good morning in a nice venue, soft music and excellent coffee. I would rate my experience five points out of six. I was very satisfied especially after they sorted out the incident with the napkin.
