They kept us safe, sacrificing their lives to save ours. We are a better country for what our veterans, active-duty military, and their families sacrifice—but we do no good if we do not distinguish the continuing strains of war once our service members return home. Our work is not done—and will continue long after all troops come home. But today, we are reminded to never forget why veterans are important to
This caused a ripple effect in the army as we promoted inexperienced Soldiers to Sergeant, these leaders were now training new Soldiers, this led to Soldiers not getting the proper leadership and not conducting inspections and other basic soldiering skills like haircuts, cleanliness & serviceability of the uniform and ensuring that good basic discipline was being upheld at all levels. As long as the combat mission was completed many times the leaders weren’t worried about how it got
GEAR ACCOUNTABILITY By PFC BARNEY In our United States Marine Corps today, there seems to be one problem amongst our Marines that can have very light and also very severe consequences. This problem is losing issued gear and/or not having full accountability of all of our issued gear. Losing a small piece of issued gear or some small pieces of equipment doesn’t seem like it would have a big effect on the Marine or his peers, but actually it can have a huge effect. There are many important reasons to be checking your gear constantly to keep proper Marine Corps issued gear accountability as a Marine in the United States Marine Corps. It is the Marine’s responsibility to always have proper Marine Corps issued gear accountability
This strategy once again prioritises a number of key influential factors which impact health in a significant way. 5.1 Housing One major impact on the health and well-being of people is where and how they live. Not only is the physical and social environment important, but the home is also the setting within which care is increasingly provided by both family and community based health and social care. Poor housing can affect people’s health. These links between housing and health in supporting the health and well-being of people in their homes are well documented and were highlighted recently in a Welsh Health Circular from the Welsh Assembly Government.
While I agree with General Dempsey’s view on how to form the Army into a “Profession of Arms,” I don’t think today’s Army is quite there yet. I think The Army is going in the right direction but it will take time to change the culture. We need to understand that it is virtually impossible for all Soldiers to be professionals based on experience and expertise alone. We need to understand that not all Soldiers join today for honor, tradition, and/or wanting to be a part of a team. Soldiers are joining the military more and more to have a secure job with benefits for themselves and their family members.
Introduction The role of the health care worker is both challenging and rewarding. It is arguably one of the most skilled roles as it involves constantly changing dynamics, and may involve dealing with loss, pain or fear. There are many responsibilities that come with the role but with such responsibilities come a great sense of achievement and the knowledge that that you can make a difference in other people’s lives. You are in a unique position as a support worker as you will typically spend large amounts of time with individuals in their daily lives trying to affect change. Support workers are at the front line enabling and supporting individuals and are often best place to update a range of other professionals on the key issues in the individuals care.
A young man who does not have what it takes to perform military service is not likely to have what it takes to make a living." When joining the military you must perform your best to protect our country. Tons of men and women around the world fight for the country and make a career out of it. There are three major branches and many different jobs to go with each one. Each have many specific tasks.
Intervention programs have proven to be effective and to enhance the wellbeing of military families and their lives pertaining to deployment. Introduction An ongoing issue in the lives of military families is managing the stress associated with the deployment cycle (Esposito-Smythers et al., 2011). Deployment is stressful and challenging for both the service member and the family members who stays behind. No matter how long the deployment lasts, the family will have to take on different family roles to ensure that their daily lives can be carried out as smooth as possible. Phases of Deployment Pre-Deployment.
However, at all times I stand ready to accept the fact that I could receive that phone call telling me to pack my bags, I am being deployed. Many people do not understand what soldiers go through both physically and mentally while on serving or how close they come to dying every single day to keep us safe here in America. Therefore, when I hear the word “Hero,” a soldier is the first person that comes to mind. Public Safety personnel are just ad heroic as soldiers, just in a different way. While soldiers protect us outside the United States, public safety personnel protect us inside the United States, in our hometowns.
If these were the options for mandated public services, all young people would contribute greatly to their countries while having a better sense of what is happening around them. One reason the United States military is so powerful and strong is because it is made up of volunteers. Every soldier fighting on the front lines is there because they volunteered and made a commitment to their country. If the people were forced to join the military, then the soldiers, as a whole, might not be as reliable or as strong because some soldiers might be unmotivated to fight. Despite the fact that the military is a magnificent spot for young people to learn discipline, some of them don't have the respect for the service the military provides.
