The differences in culture were looked at as a deficiency or abnormality by counselors. This affected the relationship between the students and the counselors, which caused attention to be given to differences in race and ethnicity in the counseling practice and theory. Now almost all counseling programs have courses or practicums to ensure school counselors can work in a culturally diverse world, while being sensitive and effective (Erford, 2015). The School counseling role in my opinion has become more appreciated over time. For example, in 2006, the “Diploma Project” was started to reduce high drop-out rates at a lot of schools in Los Angeles.
Basically, students get graded on how well they do on the final exam. The problem here is since the students were not tested on the subject material before the final exam, there is a chance that the student will not receive a good grade. Grades can be helpful since they reflect how a student is doing in the course. Therefore, grading system can be beneficial for college students. Moreover, they work hard to achieve a high grade point average (GPA).
Should Schools Have Dress Code? In 21st century as schools grow and education starts to take on the race to go back in its “Golden Age”, yet the students in public high schools face many problems that are caused only by not having dress code in school. In some situations parents are not as involved as they should be with their children education , the lack of interest of parents being involved in their children school activities may lead the children to feel as if no one cares or their efforts are not recognize so they don’t feel as if it is as important. If students don't get punished for not coming to school, then schools will lose money and students will be missing lectures causing them to get bad grades. Students aren't graduating because they have too many unexcused absences. Ditching shouldn't be allowed and if one does ditch, then they must be punished. Some people might say Senior year in high school is a waste of time. I agree, my senior year consisted of cutting classes and not as much work.
Factors Relating to British Children Failing in Education As a child I was not inspired with education due to family circumstances. In society today many people are unaware what problems children face in their day to day family life and problems that arise within the school. I have decided to do my essay of about children and the failure of education and highlight some of the key factors that disadvantage children face. I will look at what the government have highlight are main reasons children are failing in education and how teachers are effected and what measures they will take to reduce failure. These characteristics can extremely impinge on a person’s ability to speak in school because they take a student out of their comfort zone and make it difficult for them to speak in front of others. By using these essays I will prove that ethnicity is a main cause that affects one’s ability to speak in an academic environment. Inequality in School Threatens US Prosperity During decades, the USA government is attempting to find solution for the schools system problems; they haven’t found a solution for education inequality in schools system was failed. According to the article by Brook Donald the school tries to change this reality, but they have failed to create a strong and equal system in schools with poor and minority students at raise disadvantage. However , there are some solution can provide equal opportunities to all students such as better training for teacher and grant programs. One major problem with school inequality is that some schools are not being provided with the resources to succeed. A according to the article by Strauss claims schools in poor and low neighborhoods like Harlem ,the south Bronx and central Brooklyn are not founded and receiving grants.
