Abstract The Life Styles Inventory (LSI) which I took identifies the thoughts and motivations which guide me as an individual and including behaviors. The LSI referred to my personal, management and leadership style .These areas will show the core of an individual's effectiveness or in this case my style and effectiveness. The characteristic of a person’s thinking and behavior contributes greatly to the way a person or individual performs their duties. Fortunately, people have the ability to change unsuccessful reasoning and behavior in such ways that can change an person’s effectiveness. First it is important that person know whether their actions are supportive of quality performance or act as a distraction. Life Style Inventory According to the Life Style Inventory (LSI) my primary thinking style is oppositional which scored me at a 10 and my percentile is 69 which I thought was quite high based on the definition. According to free dictionary.com oppositional is the act of opposing or resisting, which in some cases I have done. For example, when my company decided to control our over time by implementing comp-time, I was very opposed to doing this. I was to the point where I had an out-burst in a meeting with all of my co-workers. I told the manager that it was wrong, and I even sought out legal advice to prove that I was right and they were wrong. My secondary thinking style, which in my opinion is at the opposite end of the chart, is humanistic-encouraging. After reading the meaning or definition, this completely describes me 100 percent. It states that I am very interested in people; I am willing to assist other in fulfilling their full potential by being supportive; and it also states that I seek satisfaction in seeing people grow, especially in significant relationships.
