As violence increases, the pressure for a safe and orderly school does the same. I believe that the first step that we can make to ensure school safety is to work with the students and explain that it takes everyone to establish a safe school. Violence in school has changed from bloody noses to pulling out a bloody gun and shooting an innocence person. , Children are so desensitized to violence from TVs, video games, and especially their environment. Young teenagers tend to imitate what they see exposing them to violence before they can understand it does not help them Violence just destroys their future by ending up in prison or the grave at an early age.
• Psychological / Mental – this is when someone is intimidated and stalked • Cyber – In this technological age Cyber Bullying has become a problem. This type of bullying can be chat rooms, online, instant messaging, emails, on a mobile phone or computers None of the above are acceptable behaviour. Creating a ‘telling environment’ All schools aim to have a telling environment. I would aim to develop this by demonstrating that I understand bullying behaviour and am committed to stopping the behaviour. There are a many reasons why pupils will not tell as they
But that isn’t so bad that we should ban it. Many kids get bullied every day. It still happens even though we do all we can to prevent it. It’s nothing new to kids of this generation. Another
Girls can be rude towards people and are quick to judge a person that they have never even met. If girls are not the in the circle of the most popular girls who have all the high end designer names, hair and makeup done perfectly every day, they will most likely be judged and sadly there is no way of changing it. As for the guys if they are not playing sports then they are automatically a loser most likely and getting picked on. Kids are so cruel in high school and the bullying is even worse, especially now that social media takes up such a giant role in the life of teenagers. Cyber bullying has led kids to killing

(7.2) Describe the ways of reducing risk to children and young people from: * Social networking * Internet * Buying online * Using a mobile Ways of reducing the risk to children and young people from using, social networking sites, we need to have more heightened public, awareness also private, advice given via the CEOP organisation, of the dangers. Children can sometimes be unaware of this controversial area. They need to be taught not to give out personal info such as telephone numbers as well as their emails addresses, as their information can be pieced together to make a fuller profile of themselves, which can be used against them, to gain their trust and confidence to be possibly be groomed or even worse taken (snatched) .
As adults we owe it to children to ensure their safety against sexual predators among us, online and off. There are many programs at schools and at community centers that makes children aware of some dangers to look for when approached by someone you don’t know. Some things these places can’t teach our children and so that is where we come in as parents. With monitoring our child’s behavior and talking to our children to make sure they understand that there are bad people out there and how to make themselves aware of this. A few things I like that the schools teach, is the buddy system and to scream or make as much noise when someone
In recent times, people have resorted to cyber bullying as there is a potential for a wider range of victims to inflict pain and suffering on as compared to the old-fashioned schoolyard bullying. This is because when victims are abused verbally, the victim might not remember every word the bully has said, but in the case of emails and text, chatrooms and websites the targeted students can read what the bully has said over and over again. Moreover, written words seem more concrete and real compared to spoken words.
This quote shows that the bullies are more concentrated on bullying their victims rather than their school work. This quote also shows that bullies are not very concentrated in school and will probably fail in school and not get a good career. Another example that shows that students are beginning not to care about school is, “Many of the victims are disengaged in school” (Wolpert 1). This evidence is important because the victims are scared of bullies and are really not concentrating in school like before they began to be bullied. Multiple victims who are hurt from being bullied are starting to fail in school.
Thirty-six percent say it is easy for students to use drugs, drink or smoke during the school day without getting caught. This year’s survey once again looks at teen social networking and found that 75 percent of 12- to 17-year olds say that seeing pictures of teens partying with alcohol or marijuana on Facebook, MySpace or another social networking site encourages other teens to want to party like that. The CASAColumbia survey also looks at the impact of teens being left home alone overnight and parental expectations on teen substance use. This survey also reveals that teenage addicts start a young age (usally age 12) due to the lack of supervision from their parents. Addiction is harder when teenagers are affraid to admit they are addicted because they don't want to feel like an outcast, however some are even scared that they might be
Some friends reduced my pressure by their understanding about American students; “All they like to do is join in the party; you will never see them studying in the library more than three hours. The truth is you cannot compete with them in language, but you can compete with any American student in academic study, because they are so lazy.” I was so excited, even though I did not know if it was true or not. After a whole day trip, I found my dorm in PFT with a tired body and spirit. “What does my roommate like?” I was thinking before I opened the door. All the lights were on but no body was in the room.
