There are a few goals that I hope to achieve before leaving Manchester. The first one is to know more about my content, mainly the vocabulary and speaking skills. The vocabulary review games were as much as a review for the students as they were for me. Grant it, they were learning objects in the classroom, such as a pencil sharpener and a computer screen, which aren’t stressed too much in speaking. If I want to teach a topic, I should try to learn as much as I can about it and never stop learning Spanish, this is also one of my goals.

Along with higher literacy, Cued speech also promotes lip reading, and the use and understanding of speech. You could even learn it with other methods such as the bi-bi, and total communication approach. Though some people may learn it as a second language, it is not a language at all. Instead it provides an access to language which helps children have an easier time talking to their parents and lowering behavioral issues. If you are able to undertsand the sounds of a language then you can use it with cued speech.
But at the same time it’s really not fair to compare their performance with your English speaking students. So there is a must need for standard based instruction that pertains to the needs of just ELLs. If we try to hold them to the standards of native English speaking students this could actually hurt their self esteem since they probably would never reach the same goals on the same level. Also it could lead to an ELL being missed diagnosed with a learning disability (LD). This is why there have been some efforts to develop English Language Development (ELD) standards.
He talks a lot about this thing called nontraditional grammar which in younger generations the content of the message was far more important than the actual structure of what the message needed to say. People who write and talk like this in his mind could be possible subjects when it comes to bringing talent to the table. I think that Challengers does a good job at explaining how he really feels about the grammar subject and in a much different way than everybody else. He sees some of the good that comes from using grammar in the younger generations. I also liked how he talked about nontraditional grammar.
