Many people think immigrants are willingly “taking over” the United States, but I agree with Gonzalez. No one wants to leave his or her culture, family, and land behind. Immigrants are forced to leave everything familiar to them just to survive. In many parts of the world poor government leads to deaths of innocent people, and an unfair treatment of citizens. Our country is a super power, and we owe a part of that to immigrants from Latin America.
We need to do something to help the minors who did not have a choice of coming over here, but just followed their parents. If these minors are here in the U.S and thriving for an education or serve our country why not give them a path to citizenship. It is not easy as immigrant to stay focus and achieve what you want in life. The more immigrants that become legal they would pay taxes and our deficit would go down in the long run. Until the government decides what to do, we are going to be in this recession.
Identifying the Ways That Americans are Wasteful The United States of America is a beautiful country but some Americans are very wasteful; they throw away things that should be recycled, buy things that they don’t need, get more food than they could consume and they do not respect to the nature for wasting water and gas. Many people in this country don not consider anything or anyone but themselves and they confuse waste with quality of life; “the more things I have, the better I enjoy the life”, they want new things for every change of season and we do not care where our old things go, instead of donating these possessions to a foundation or Salvation Army. Some of us throw belongings out that can still be used. Most people are in debt
My feelings are strong for racing like theirs is for other sports. But that why we are blessed to live in America, we can love what we want to it doesn’t really matter what people think. After reading both sides of the argument I hope there is a different opinion about racing. Whether people like it or not, racing is here to stay. Too much money is brought in to communities from racing and it would be foolish to ban the sport.
I can definitely see myself graduating from college, leaving behind everything and exploring the parts of the country that I haven’t seen before. A cross country road trip looks fun when you see it in the movies, which is kind of where I got my inspiration being adventurous isn’t really something that most people like to do. Being independent is also a key factor that relates me to Chris. Being independent doesn’t always mean that you want to alienate yourself from the world, but sometime that you don’t want to allow others to support you along the way through whatever it is that you are doing. I would say that I am a very strong person just like Chris.
During this time of mass immigration millions of people came to America for a better life. These immigrants had been persecuted in their homes and wanted a new start where they wouldn’t be persecuted anymore. Immigrants heard about these amazing things going on in America and decided to make the long grueling journey overseas to start anew. When the immigrants finally arrived in America some of them realized that those stories might have been exaggerated a little bit, because life in America during that time wasn’t a easy one but it wasn’t a bad one
