Antigone believes that without burying her brother he will not have a good after-life. Antigone even goes as far as burying him twice. Antigone is more admirable in that she is not selfish. She cared for her brother so much that she would go through all this trouble to give him a good after-life. She wanted to marry Haimon but sacrificed this to bury her brother.
In this description the reader can deduce that Wilson has suspicions that his wife is up to something and the cold reality is setting in on him. With Wilson realizing this he must have been questioning whether he was a good husband or not, causing him to feel queasy with the notion that his wife is cheating on him. Because he found out, he knows he must get out before she leaves him, “I’ve been here too long. I want to get away. My wife and I want to go West” (123).
It was heartbreaking, but intention of this lie was done in love. Lies arise from love. When a daughter choses not to tell her parents about her broken marriage, she knows that her parents are going to worry and even get sick. She loves her parents, lying was a better option than telling truth. Furthermore a lie is about simply being selfish.
I believe that she does feel bad that her children, who once really loved their father, have become bitter towards him now. She feels that she knows he painful it is to hate someone you still love, and wishes that even though, Jody D. was bad for her, that he could at least be good for them. She tends to compare her father and her ex-husband frequently. In addition to them being close, she feels that they both are “no-good daddies”. Another observation was when a fellow co-worker asked another, about T. Smith and stated that she would like to get to know her better.
I would have to agree with that because I am actually going through my parents getting a divorce and when I found out I didn’t want to believe it at all I didn’t want to see my parents split up it just wasn’t right to me. It really caused me to feel depression and I felt like I was the blame for their divorce. Thinking about it more I feel like can this divorce ruin my love for someone when it happens will I myself get divorce and put my kids through what I went through, I would not want that to happen and it scares me sometimes for my
Any behavior that could be considered an insult to the Lord of the house would break his knightly code. However, if Gawain refuses the Lady of the house then it would also break the knight’s code because it would hurt her feelings thus Gawain would be unchivalrous. Gawain, who is timid like the dear, thinks it would be better to pretend to sleep than face the possible seduction of Lady. She then continues to try and force Gawain into a relationship by saying he is being rude for not sharing his knowledge with her. She also believes that Sir Gawain is leading her on even though he has done nothing but try to abide by his knightly code.
The main similarity between Kai and the husband is both are antagonist, try to resolve the main conflict. Kai strives to reserve Faye as conflict when he learns that she isn’t able to bare children by convincing her that another option to having children would be adopting. That he stays with Faye goes to show that nothing can break what they have or feel for each other and that is a “romantic” or true love. In; A Sorrowful Woman “the husband” shows his wife that he “understands”and truly loves her by doing everything she asks him to do. Most men wouldn't do that; they would get tired of it and leave or ruin their marriage.
Is it possible that they are correct and others are wrong? Explain your answer. The authors of the video are confident to report this because they simply just believe in it. When you believe in something, of course it makes you confident in your opinions because you think is right. You won’t possibly believe in something that you know is false, right?
John’s character in the beginning of the story may seem kind of suspicious of how he doesn’t want anyone to know of how he cheated on his wife, and that at first he would do anything just so that no one would find out. As the story goes on you start to feel that John’s character is changing. You can see this because at first he didn’t want anyone to know, and now he feels really guilty and wants to confess to his wife, so that Elizabeth doesn’t have to suffer for what he has done. John then was with a girl Mary Warren at the court and was also trying to help put Abigail to shame for lying, but then Mary Warren is getting accused for being a witch and turns on John saying “You’re a Devil’s man. I’ll not hang with you!
In the book both sisters had to deal with their spouse cheating on them but they both just wanted revenge on their husband and boyfriend at first but that wasn’t the right way to go about it. One of my favorite lines in the book is in the chapter where the spiritual counselors tell Vanessa and Thomas that just because god says its okay to divorce and adulterer doesn’t mean you should. I think that in this day and age, we are so quick to throw in the towel and sometimes god really wants us to look at the “for better or for worse” part. I think that if your husband or wife was to make a mistake we shouldn’t be so quick to get a divorce and try to work things out. This book taught me that divorce isn’t the way to solve your problems all though time.
