Diontai Jenkins Mr. De Leon Per. 3/4 My Neighborhood I live in a small neighborhood; mostly everyone here doesn’t know each. On those streets the cars zoom by, honking their horns and screaming vulgarities at the children playing, and leaving litter in their tracks. On the inside of my neighborhood it is calm, you can hear the children playing, the dogs greeting them jovially, the birds singing, and the occasional car going down the street. Many things are within walking distance of my house. There are three fast food places, where you can find adults picking up dinner or lunch, also there are two stores where you can find kids buying candy and small toys, and theirs is a coffee shop where travelers get a cup of coffee, or just whoever, buying whatever they may need. There is an elementary school, where you will most definitely find young children playing together on the cheery playground, and teens on the basketball court. Also, there is one church where many attend. My neighborhood is very calm. I can literally look out of one window of my house and see overgrown yards and rundown houses, and then look out of another window to see carefully landscaped yards, and beautiful homes. I think this diversity is another thing that makes where I live special; it allows people to learn to live together in peace. I believe that it teaches people not to judge someone on how much money they have, or on their appearances. My neighborhood has a lot of trees. They line the streets and spot all the yards, shading everything from the rays of burning sun. Almost every yard is not fenced. The streets are pure black ink, with no yellow or white
