This is the reason that as of today there is no facial recognition for children in the U.S. Passport. I would like to propose that taking a picture of a child’s eye and use it as a part of the facial recognition process because the retina of the eye never changes from birth to adult transformation. This change can have an enormous effect on passport business when it comes to the integrity and protection of the child when it comes to this document. One good consequence would be the further elimination of fraud in children where there is currently none in place. One bad consequence is that some parents might not want their child exposed to their retina of their
It seemed his thirst for relief overpowered his reasoning. He held four arguments that supported Spyware being used. The first told that trusting your child can border on negligence when dealing with the internet (Coben). He implies that access to an adult’s private documents that are held on a computer might not be safe in the hands of the son or daughter. However, this problem can be solved by simply buying your child his own computer or adding additional users and password protection for the administrator.
Laura Rosales Ms. Martin Period: 1 12th Expo. / Comp. December 13, 2011 Kids Are Not Adults Juvenile justice in courts is a worldwide problem that can have negative consequences for the general community climate and for the right of people to live in a safe environment. In the article “startling finds on teenage brains” by Paul Thompson, he states that teenagers are losing lots of brain tissue and they cannot control their impulses. I think teens should not be tried as adults because they have not experienced how does the adult world works long enough to realize what they are doing.
Which comes in, why kids shouldn’t be try as an adult. Most of us teens act pretty much like kids when were still 15-17 years old. In Adam Liptak’s article “Supreme Court to Rule on Executing Young Killers” published in The New York Times quotes “And jurors may not necessarily accept expert testimony concerning recent research showing that the adolescent brain is not fully developed”. Jurors have to accept the fact that teens brains aren’t develop and still may act like little kids. Also the fact that teens are so rough towards one another there brains aren’t thinking on what can happen if there physical towards people violently.
The extra stress of care and expenses can sometimes take a toll on the parents or caregiver which can lead to abuse. Also the condition of the child could prevent the ability to fight back or tell someone. People have to be extra mindful to look for signs of abuse and be extra supportive of the ones taking care of disabled children. Due to advances in technology, children are susceptible to internet predators. Children are meeting sexual predators on the internet and forming relationships with them and unknowingly allowing them into their lives.
The driving age should be raised. 16 year olds lose control of their vehicle because they are beginners. They shout require at least 2 years of training because automobile accidents are dangerous and there could be a lot more if we don’t enforce this. No parent will ever admit that their child is irresponsible. No parent wants to imagine their kid getting into a car crash or hitting a pedestrian, but this is reality where 16 year olds swear they can answer this text they will only look down for a second but then they think it is okay to do that and then they may eventually start taking pictures on their self at the wheel that’s terrifying what if they crash?
| | | Infants and children are not old enough to tell their guardians what they can and can’t do around them. Their needs to be policies that the government needs to over think that protect the health of these innocent infants and children that have no say. Just like there was a ban on smoking in public restaurants or 15 feet from a restaurant entrance, there needs to be a ban on smoking in a vehicle with children in the car. Secondhand smoke leads to many health problems that could have been prevented. | | Imagine that while growing up your parents or guardian always smoked cigarettes around you.
They say that “it’s not the gun that pulls the trigger, but the person behind the gun that does.” If a child cannot use a gun, then he will use a knife or any other GUN CONTROL AND PROTECTING OUR RIGHTS AS AMERICANS 13 Weapon. Opponents to gun control in school believe that adding stricter regulations and laws would cost too much money. Regulations and laws would just raise taxes. They argue that money should not be spent on gun control in school, but on educational programs, school supplies, computers, new technology, teachers, and renovations. In the past two years in the United States, there has been an unprecedented amount
Such as parents banning books so their children do not have to read books that they think are inappropriate. I believe books should not deserve to be banned in Liberty High School because we Junior High School students deserve to read unique kinds of books so we can experience the different qualities that books have. For instance, in my high school career, I have read books that have been banned but there are two specific books that I’ve been concerned of; which is Flowers for Algernon and Romeo and Juliet. A number of parents have banned these two specific books
Ron Wilson of Houston stated in the article, “ Kids are Kids- Until They Commit Crime”, “...you want to throw the adult boo at kids...lower the voting age to fourteen”(Lundstrom 9) Kids are restricted from watching pornography, purchasing tobacco or alcohol, or voting, because they are not perceived as having the same mental capacity or responsibility as adults. Double standardizing it by being able to try them as equally as an adult would be an absurdity. There is no congruence on this matter, that is why Mr.Wilson suggested a dramatic idea by lowering the voting age. I kid wouldn’t understand what he or she is voting for, nor do they in court cases. Many people can say a young teen is far from adulthood.
