Summary Response Amadeo Constanzo is the author of “Do You Really Think You Are a Good Writer?” and he believes that if you are in a remedial class English then “instead of wasting time and energy on negative thoughts, use the energy and time to improve your writing” or other skills. Constanzo supports remedial classes because even the best athletes train to be better just like a writer practices to become a better writer. I very much agree with Constanzo because the majors I currently have would eventually deal a lot with presentation documents. A.1.a. Pre-K Strengths Because of the ever changing demographics in our system this can be very beneficial and has some great advantages with our program. With more non-English speaking children coming into our system this is encouraging our teachers to learn another language. In return it is helping with the language barrier we are facing in our current days. Our system could also look into hiring more teachers with the added benefit of speaking multiple languages and creating more jobs in our area.

The bilingual environment supports development of both languages and enhances students' self-esteem and cross-cultural understanding. Yet I would not expect someone that isn’t as close to me to immediately grasp what it is I am trying to get across. Taking the description and details out only because it is someone close to me puts a strain on our relationship at times. My frustration and annoyance that I am still being asked to help when I briefly stated I wanted me to take over starts an argument. Being clear in communication could avoid future arguments. After reading this article I see that no matter how long you know someone or how close you are to them the communication needs to be clear.
Without an appropriate background, teachers can inadvertently isolate or alienate LEP students who need to feel like they are “part of the instructional setting” so a positive self-image is preserved (Carrasquillo & Rodriguez, 2001). Often, LEP students need special language programs which will supplement their learning needs fairly. Because of the rise of “immigrants and high fertility rates among linguistically and culturally diverse groups in the United States,” (Carrasquillo & Rodriguez, 2001) the number of students in need of special resources such as language development programs and better trained teachers is significant. Educators need to adapt teaching styles to fit the needs of these students because they are important of our country’s diverse

Nevertheless, the English language is one of the more difficult languages to learn and I can understand why many immigrants may feel overwhelmed and intimidated when faced with learning a whole new language. This is why, I believe, the U.S. should implement a required program specifically designed to aid incoming immigrants in learning English. This would especially be constructive for those entering the workforce and will absolutely have a positive effect on the future of those that complete the program. Although, at this point in time, the United States does not have a National language I still believe a helpful program should be put into action.
Along with that I hope to learn more about better time management in my college skills 105 class. College skills class with be a very important one because, many people including myself need better time management skills. Lastly I look forward to further sharping my skills as a writer in English 101. In this day and age writing and proper grammar seem to be a passing fad, but to be successful in today’s modern world I believe it is extremely important to maintain and further advance these skills.
