BSBCUS301b | | ALEXANDRA SHEEDY | | Project 1 – Write a short guide to customer service for the representative of the organisation * Identify and clarify customer needs and expectations You are working at a library and a customer walks into the building and up to the counter. You should greet them with a good morning/afternoon and identify if they require any assistance. The customer is trying to find a specific book. * Assess the urgency of the request While at the front desk, look up in the library records and find the location. If the book is not in this library, tell them which library they are going to be able to find it and offer to phone up and ask for the book to be put on hold.

These students then enroll in a community college. In the article making sparks fly, Rose talks about three different student and their achievements in college. Their achievements are: Cynthia running for student government, Bobby going back to school to get an academic degree, and Elias is going back to college after he had dropped out of high school. They are acknowledge by coming to college to work on making a higher level in math, show that a woman can do the same as a man, and showing leadership. (Rose 2011) I believe these students are doing different activities to better their lives and to experience different life styles.
Some locations that you might find beneficial include your bedroom, the library. After you have chosen a location, decide what type of atmosphere works best for you. Factors to consider are: Noise, lighting, temperature. Another aspect of your study environment involves whether you work best alone or in a group. Consider the resources you will need when you sit down to study.
The professors can select from a variety of assignments. In classrooms students can perform and develop public speaking skills. When getting feedback from your professors about an assignment the professor can respond immediately to the students. Your reading materials students can use textbooks and articles provided by the instructor. Students can interact directly with classmates.
I could have taken a year off from school if I wanted, but I took the challenge of gaining many new responsibilities, which help me grow as an adult each day. I have met many new people coming into this school more than I ever thought I would. My teachers are very diverse, and it is a lot of hard work adapting to different teaching habits. One person I can really say that has helped me through all these different obstacles would have to be my friend Maranda. Yes, we have known each other before attending college but this transitioning stage in life has really opened my eyes to my own reality.
) Barriers for the Mature Student The college campuses of today are very different than those of years past, as many mature students are going back to school. These students have different needs than the traditional student they tend to want additional job skills for a new job or continuing education for the position they have now, but a few are still looking for the traditional college degree. Whatever the reason for returning to school the older student faces many challenges that the traditional student does not encounter. When I was a teenager in high school you graduated and went to college, to work, or in my case, started a family. Choosing the family option, I felt that going to college was something I had passed up for my children, but now that my children are grown I am starting college, which I would have never believed this when I was in high school.
Pursuit of Education: A Lifetime Development As a high school student sitting in a class waiting for the teacher to pass back my test we took last week, I start thinking do I really need this class to better myself for the near future? I try to think how this class will benefit me later. Well, I know I need it as a credit to graduate high school and I know I need it to for college, but what does this class have to afford me if I don’t go to college and step into the real world now. In my head, I can hear my mom saying “Boy, you going to college!” but then I ask myself why do I need to go to college? And the number one answer I could think of right off the back was to make that money.
Just think about all that hard work you have done throughout the last three years; taking test, completing projects, and preparing yourself for college. Many colleges require a list of all the classes you took your senior year, even the levels of those courses. By looking at this list they will determine what kind of students you are and if you decided to slack off. Senior year is just another year to strengthen your knowledge and learning skills, to prepare for all the challenges ahead. A successful senior year can lead you to a better path to a successful future.
The first year of college forms students into well-rounded individuals. A lot of people don’t come to realize how accustomed they are to their social groups until they are forcedly pushed out of their comfort zones. Starting college is essentially hitting the restart button; it’s a fresh start, a chance to create a new reputation. In my first few weeks of college I met many new people during welcome week, so many that it was hard to recall some of their names. Though it was overwhelming, when classes started I had a chance to make actual connections with people and make new friends.
