Topic: Compare Spain and Italy in terms of Food Inside the high heeled boot in the Europe hidden with the fascinating history of pasta, obviously we are talking about the pasta kingdom Italy. Undoubtedly, no matter we are talking about the fame, the history or the taste of pasta countries next to Italy will never win this throne. However, when it came to the local culture of Spain, Italy would probably have to take a step backward, it’s always a greatest pleasure to be entertained when dinning, and that is why Spain is “qualified” to be compared with Italy. Spain, one of the greatest wine brewers in Europe, has a unique food culture. The colonial history of Spain in no doubt adds the diverse element into the food culture as well. Due to the geographical background, Spanish always wake up late and just have a very short breakfast with a cup of coffee or Cava which is a kind of champagne in Spain. However, they value lunch most. Most of the shopkeepers except the catering one would even close their shops during lunch time. (Luis, 2013) Gazpacho, Jamon and Parella which is the famous main dish in Spain with seafood ingredients and vegetables are the popular food in Spain. The teatime in Spain is about 6-8, people love to eat some Tapas which includes some Chorizo, Puntillitas and Tabla with a glass of wine to spend their time. (Miguel,2013) For their dinner, it is much simpler with some pavia and dessert when compared to Italy. Spain pay particular attention on enjoyment, not only the enjoyment on the taste of the food, but also the entertainment such as watching the dancing performance while dining. On the contrary, Italy is more formal. They have a complicated sequence when dining.
