2nd Response Favorite Word According to the authors of Oxford English Dictionary, English language is considered as the richest language in the world in terms of their vocabulary. The second edition of 20th Volume of Oxford Dictionary contains 171,476 full entry words, 47,156 obsolete words and 9,500 derivative words included in it. Yet, if I had to choose one favorite word, I would choose a very simple one, the one that everyone understands and respects, a word with a very deep meaning: “Mother.” “Mother” being a supreme lover, loves her child more than anything in the world. A mother scatters the dark clouds around her child, and brings peace back to our hearts when we are weak against the wilderness of life. From the moment we are born till the last breath of our life, we are surrounded by a maze of relations. Some are for specific time period; some are to betray you; some to stay around you and some to leave you when they are needed the most. But, there is one relation, that one being who surpasses her love, care and affection, and she is “The Mother.” No one can match the love of mother, nor can someone replace it. A mother’s love is ageless and immeasurable. When a female becomes a mother, we see her heart filled with immense love for her child. She carries her baby in her womb for 9 months, bears all the pain during different stages of her pregnancy and when the child is given to her, she forgets all her pain and misery. One of the saying in Hinduism states that, “Heaven lies under the feet of your mother.” According to Hindu culture, Mother is the greatest being on earth and holds the highest status among all. A mother converts the home into the first school of a child, by becoming our teacher, trainer and coach. The first word a child learns is “Mamma”. She teaches her us how to walk our first steps of life. She never gives up on her child and
