Caula Rogers Eng-105 English Composition 1 03/30/2014 Dr. Victoria Smith Impact of ADHD on a Child’s Schooling Children with ADHD generally have trouble in school, only because school causes many trials for children with ADHD. ADHD is not a learning disorder; however it can cause children to have problems with learning. Furthermore, children with ADHD have an excessive rate of learning disorders and will have problems with other school-work like calculation and following a long with his/her teacher during direct instructional time. But with enduring and an efficient plan, the child will be capable of succeeding in the classroom. ADHD negatively can affect a child’s social and emotional behavior and the ability to control them in a positive manner in a school environment.
Effective communication is vital when developing positive relationships with children young people and adults. Some people really struggle with their learning or they may have confidence issues, these issues may stop them from communicating freely. Treating them in a calm, friendly, positive, and praising manner could mean the difference between them trusting me and closing down completely and giving up. It is important to have a positive relationship with children and young adults because if they feel comfortable and secure with the adult and their setting whether it is a childminder, a nursery or a school they will separate more easily from their parent or carer. If they feel emotionally secure they are more likely to participate in the play and learning activities.

Wealthy environment can be bad to for babies as parents can afford to employ some one to look after them and they will not always show them love Mentally or violent environments can cause children to have behavioural problems as they don't know how to cope or change what is happing. Violent' actions can lead to more violent actions. Environment middle age children 6 to 13 Children of this age can have self esteem issues as having no money can mean they can not do things their peers do and lack of food can affect contraction Children of this age can have all they want brought for them but if they are just left on their own without parents input they are missing out on life's important things parents can share with them Negative environment can harm as it causes a feeling of negativity instead of joy which can lead to emotional distress. Environment 14 up wards At this age if a child has not been able to move away from poverty area then their life will be fighting to improve it on little money and a lot of hope At this age the lack of parents input can course problems, emotionally and they don't always understand how money works as they have always been given it.

Children and young people need to have a correct balance of nutrients and food for them to develop and grow properly. Ex: Lack of oxygen during birth will affect the development of the baby. Health problems - If a child suffers from health issues such as asthma, it may make them unable to take part in activities which will affect the over roll development. A child with Learning difficulties, physical disabilities or sensory deficiencies (blindness and deafness)will make it unable for them to socialize and work with other children which is a major part in helping their development, also they could be withdrawn and make them feel like they don’t belong. Explain how children and young people’s development is influenced by a range of external factors External factors also effect a child’s development Poverty and deprivation This directly affects the development of a child since poverty and deprivation means lack of proper accommodation and food. The exposure to unhealthy environment and food increase the chance of children coming in to contact with infectious diseases.
Explain the importance & impact of poverty on outcome and life chances for children and young people: • Low income: this can mean that children may not have the same advantages as their wealthier peers. • Poor housing: this could lead to ill health due to unacceptable standards within the home. • Ill health: not having access to the correct food and warm clothing could affect health. • Low academic achievement: this could come due to the lack of importance on education. • Low self-esteem: children could have low self-esteem due to the factors mentioned above.

Babies weaning - Young children may not like the taste or texture of different foods and may lose weight if weaning attempts to replace a milk diet too early. children may begin to have disturbed sleep patterns, be more irritable whilst awake and less motivated to try new foods Starting nursery - Children are not used to leaving parents, separation can be a very upsetting and confidence shattering experience. Repeats of this negativity may cause withdrawal, regression - toilet using children may begin to wet the bed, be aggressive where usually amenable and may begin experience anxiety issues - becoming fearful of separation/clingy, not want to take part in activities that would usually engage some interest. Loss of a comforter - The transition between having a dummy, muslin, teddy bear, blanket and not having one can be quite upsetting .
This is an example of how nutritional health can affect mental health. Proper nutrition can also affect adult’s and children’s safety. When proper nutrition is not received children and adults are more prone to catch illnesses. They may also not have energy to function properly and could risk physical injury when doing a strenuous
