Every person in this world belongs to a different community within their society. A community can contribute to society because it creates solutions, provides security, reveals dedication and lastly discovers truthfulness. Communities can be found everywhere and can be created anywhere. You may be unaware of it, but anyone can be apart of some community not only based on your location, but also based on ones lifestyle, religion, heritage, education, or abilities. My community I happen to belong to is my church community.
Although many of their beliefs and rules may seem outrageous to people of a different faith the believer adheres to these practices in order to become closer to Jehovah. They believe that the restrictions and rules are necessary in order to be a true Christian and be saved. As for the challenges they face there are many. There rules are strict and punishment for breaking them is as well. As well as rules for when, how often they must worship and go into the community.
There are so many solutions that people in the church can contribute to concerning social injustice. For example, people can arrange to meet with their pastor to bring up topics in church that would bring awareness to social injustice and that could cause a chain reaction for others to start talking about issues of society in a way that would inspire action. Also, someone could create a presentation about social issues and present it in their church. I feel the churches in today’s society do not deal with social justice issues, even though they may discuss them, but that is the only length they will go to. Churches need to go beyond just talking about social justice issues.
O yes because you all go to other schools because clearly no one can throw a decent party on this campus. It is also my firm belief that this is not a college, it is a re-creation of high school. I began classes harder than this at a local
While reading Thomas Paine’s The Age of Reason, it is apparent that one can question their true faith and where their beliefs really come from. From Paine it brought many questions of my loyalties lie and where my faith comes from. Throughout life, from time to time, questions of what is true from the Lord can be muddy. With this writing, there are many contradictions, false facts, and inconsistent thoughts. Paine’s main thesis discussed in the writing was his open mindedness for others to accept other religions and not blindly follow other people with that they believe.
Living by myself, I realized the difficulty of waking up at your own will and the importance of analyzing the time it will take to get to each class. It also made me realize that I cannot get ready at the last minute and arrive to class exactly when it starts. One of the disadvantages of being at a small college is that the teachers are well aware of when you arrive late to class and often embarrass you for doing so. As stated earlier, I am a very shy person and by being called out in front of the whole class, made me realize that you cannot take time for granted. An encounter in where I realized the importance of time management was when I went to bed late on a school night and missed a whole class and lab.
What I'm suggesting is that we are what we are, human. Each and every one of us has a different story, a different situation and a different set of issues. All of that aside, God has brought us here together today so that we can worship Him, praise Him and do so together as a body of believers. As I said before, we also have a problem listening to Him. That's the other thing that he brings us together for.
Anytime someone younger in my community attempts to get onto the home owners board they are denied. Another thing that I noticed is that none of them actually live on site. They all own homes within my community but they rent them out. I feel that this is ridiculous. The board should be made up of people that live here and people that own but rent the home out.
A lot of students in my home town decide to go to Southeast, our local community college, instead of going away to college: including myself. Now, I can’t give you everyone’s exact reason for doing this, but I bet, from personal experience, I can give you the main three. First of all, students do not want to go through the struggle of moving. Also, a lot of students do
A range of academic interests, personal perspectives, and life experiences adds much to the educational mix. Given your personal background, describe an experience that illustrates what you would bring to the diversity in a college community, or an encounter that demonstrated the importance of diversity to you. 498/500 word limit. A college campus is analogous to a melting pot. Every student is a different "element" with different "properties", but when you put them together on a campus, they start to "melt together" and become one.
