Diversity in College Campuses Diversity is defined as the inclusion of individuals representing more than one national origin, color, religion, socioeconomic stratum, sexual orientation, etc. This has led to initiatives such as affirmative action which enables favoring members of a disadvantaged group who suffer from discrimination within a culture. This has led to colleges and universities taking action in attempts to make campuses much more inclusive and welcoming for people of all different backgrounds. This was definitely one of the issues I was most concerned with when I decided to attend Long Beach state after my senior year in high school in 2010. I grew up in a small town where a vast amount of diversity was not fully present.
Many factors play in this decision like location, weather, scholarship, majors, tuition and sometimes even their football team. Two of my choices of my college include Stanford and Long Beach University. They both have many similarities, which make it difficult to choose between the two schools, but they also have many differences which are always nice to fall back on when making a difficult decision. The differences allow one to see what they are missing if they choose the other school and may possibly sway their decision. Stanford and Long Beach offers a different range of classes to choose from, a unique culture, and provides two different types of city-life.

Nuclear fusion and nuclear fission are two different types of energy-releasing reactions in which energy is released from high-powered atomic bonds between the particles within the nucleus. The main difference between these two processes is that fission is the splitting of an atom into two or more smaller ones while fusion is the fusing of two or more smaller atoms into a larger one. Nuclear fission is a class of nuclear change. Nuclear fission occurs when a very heavy nucleus splits into two smaller nuclei, each more stable than the original nucleus. Most fission reactions happen artificially by bombarding nuclei with neutrons.
Soccer has helped me become a better leader as a student, and in my community, where I play a role and try to achieve my best at everything I do. Whether, it is working to become a better person, an excellent student, or an outstanding member of my community. Throughout my years of soccer my coaches and parents have been there to build me into the man I am today, without soccer I don’t know where I would be today. Although, many people believe that the coaches and my parents have been the one to influence me to become who I am, I believe that soccer and its discipline have been the foundation to help me and define who I am now. I started playing soccer at the age of five those were the most magnificence days growing up.
People who share the same allegiance sympathize; they all gather together, join forces, encourage one another and challenge the other side. But what is the most important is the most identities aren’t given once and for all; it is built and changes throughout the person’s lifetime. More can be flexible, more belongings will have. Nonetheless, even the perfect flexibility cannot belong all of them. For instance, in the film named Zelig, just like the most people want, Leonard Zelig wants to be part of all the different kind of societies, Black, Asian, American Indian, German nazist and all the others, at the same time.
BETA PARTICLES Beta rays are much lighter energy particles. The beta particle is an energetic electron given off by the nucleus of unstable isotopes to restore an energy balance. They leave the nucleus at a speed of 270,000 kilometers per second. They can be stopped, for instance, by an aluminum sheet a few millimeters thick or by 3 meters of air. The RS-500 can detect most energetic beta particles through the case.

Diversity in a college community A range of academic interests, personal perspectives, and life experiences adds much to the educational mix. Given your personal background, describe an experience that illustrates what you would bring to the diversity in a college community, or an encounter that demonstrated the importance of diversity to you. A culturally diverse student community is generally more mature and held in high esteem. It gives all students an opportunity to share and spread their distinct cultures. Each individual brings with him/her new traditions, concepts, beliefs, thinking, methods of execution and new approaches to problem-solving.
Though I’m not the oldest child, I’m my parent’s first child together and being there first child together they have always seemed to push me harder. I was successful in sports at a young age and after a while I developed a passion for the spotlight. The passion for the spotlight drove me to perform. I ended up becoming really passionate about working harder, staying in the spotlight, and making sure I looked good. When I was twelve years old an old coach of mine told me that when I play sports I’m putting on a show for the fans in the stands.
