Companies are forced to create safer products for the public to use, and also learn to make better with fewer resources. Corporations must invent new ways to cut down on their waste and work with less to create more. Corporations work diligently to cut down their use of water and electricity and other essential needs. They have educated the public about the importance of recycling used products and keeping their environment clean. Over consumption has led to many cures and medicines being created, and has made the world a better and safer place then it once was.
Coca-Cola is probably doing better now and will probably do even better financially in the future because of all their new products. Since they have started to decrease the sugar and calories in many of their products, it is helping the society to decrease obesity with their drinks and also is helping their company to do better since their consumers want to buy their products. In the book, we talk about sustainability. I believe that Coca-Cola’s new products, new commercial, and new perspective is sustainable. As stated in MKTG, sustainability ‘refers to the idea that socially responsible companies will outperform their peers by focusing on the world’s social problems and viewing them as opportunities to build profits and help the world at the same time(p.38)’.
Buying green would create a problem of consumerism which in turn would create environmental problems. According to Hesse, old things are less destructive in homes than when disposed. The overall population is moving into the tendency of green consumerism. A 33% increase in the sale of organic non-food products recorded between 2006 and 2009 (Organic Trade Association). Hesse does agree that individuals who purchase green products do have good objectives.
End Vision First, I think that implementing a good management plan by the upper level management is very important for KFF’s to succeed as a company. Having a replacement inventory coordinator who purchases the best possible products for all three stores, Also, having a person who controls the accounts payable, receivables, and finances that coordinate all vendors get paid on time will allow Kathy Kudler to focus more on duties that need more attention. For instance, implement a better website for the business will give better benefits to customer, therefore, sells will increase. The company needs to understand the difference between having a website and having an effective website. The website that is in place in KFF only displays the goods and services.
In order for Kudler Fine Foods to develop a functioning frequent shopper program, it must track and monitor consumers shopping behavior. The drive of market research is to collect data on consumers and prospective consumers. The collected statistics support business decision making, which therefore diminishes the risks involved in making these conclusions. This type of research would also benefit the consumer by lowering the cost on items bought most, while giving them personalized incentives to return. As a result, legal matters concerning privacy of the consumer has risen and established far more attention.
Satisfying the firm's wants and needs B. Creating universal coverage C. Instilling self-sufficiency D. Making product, place, promotion, and price decisions E. Working with the creative people in ad agencies Answer Key: D Question 4 of 10 10.0/ 10.0 Points Recently, Wal-Mart announced it would begin selling organic food products. In doing so, Wal-Mart is probably trying to: A. gain government approval. B. attract a different market segment. C. reduce lost sales to health food stores.
This is so any extra funds that are accumulated can go towards a new marketing strategy so that customers may be rewarded for being loyal to Kudler Fine Foods. A second action plan that may be needed to increase revenue is to increase the efficiency program. Here is where Yvonne Reynolds along with the inventory manger will have to find out how to decrease the amount of food that is being kept therefore; the company can save funds to create better and improved marketing strategies Lateral Collaboration and Vertical Collaboration Kudler’s management team has worked to develop a plan for transforming the stores and its employees to align with the mission and vision statements. The purpose of this strategic direction is to clearly state the major areas of focus for the organization. In order to achieve its objectives it is of utmost importance that Kudler have reliable lateral and vertical collaboration.
With the right type of marketing research the company will be able to maintain its current customers and should be able to bring back customers that have left because of dissatisfaction, and because of the hard economic times. Since the first Wal-Mart store opened in 1962 in Rogers, Arkansas, we've been dedicated to making a difference in the lives of our customers. Our business is the result of Sam Walton's visionary leadership, along with generations of associates focused on helping customers and communities save money and live better (Walmart, 2012). The very prominent advertising slogan “Save money, Live better,” has been cemented into the foundation of the company which reminds customers thet have the lowest prices, and consumers should
If Pepsi can do well in economic recession then it could do even better in economic booms but it must stay in touch with consumer tastes and trends. In the 1990’s to increase brand loyalty to Pepsi, they launched the Pepsi Stuff campaign. Consumers of Pepsi were awarded points through label packaging they could use the points to buy merchandise. In the mid 90’s consumers started to become more health conscious. In 1997, PepsiCo started to increase their revenues again by changing their product mix through acquisitions and divestitures.
Another idea I would use is more organic foods. It is used to promote a healthier choice of foods. Better quality means more customers. Remember this is a business that has to make money some how some way. This way is called green marketing which is developing and promoting environmentally sound products and practices to gain a competitive edge (Introduction to Business.
