“We All Fall Down” is a novel written by Eric Walters, focusing on the 9/11 attacks. It revolves around the life of main character and protagonist, Will Fuller. Will is a teenage boy just starting out high school. On September 10, 2001 his history teacher, Mrs. Phelps, is reminding his class about their “take your kid to work day” the next day. Will isn’t very excited for this because he is going with his father, who he hardly ever sees because of the time he puts in at the office. Will's father works for an international trading company and has to wake up early to get to his office on the eighty-fifth floor in the south building of the World Trade Center in Manhattan. Nobody knows how true it is when Mrs. Phelps says that tomorrow “might be an experience that changes your entire life.” Will has shown that he is very intelligent. When he first realized what was happening he was very scared. He also doubted a lot of things that his father suggested but trusted him in the end because it was the only way for them to get out. Multiple times during his descent down the stairs he thought about giving up but was determined to continue. “It had only been four floors but I was starting to feel it in my legs. I wanted to stop but I didn't.... I was feeling it even more in my legs and lungs. It was as if Ting had gotten heavier with each floor.
