The population of the city is around 3,000, and FHS services about 360 students from grades ninth thru twelfth. The community is very small and close knit, and the high school plays a major role in preparing students for the real word, because most of the students do not attend college after graduation. Objective of the Document The objective of this analysis is to identify ways to integrate technology at the ninth grade level in English and math classes to help strengthen the students’ skills in those areas. The integration of technology in the core areas will also provide additional skill building activities for students so that they will be prepared for the mandatory state test required for graduation. Background Observation of the existing technology made over the last five years.
In the article “Fear of Heights: Teachers, Parents, and Students are Wary of Achievement.” Author Bob Chase, who is president of the National Education Association pointed that teachers and parents should more worried about the students who involved in many extracurricular activities after school. He called these students are the “C” students. We know in all of the school teachers like the “A” students because they concentrate in class, serious write notes and review, all of the test result are also very good. Instead, the “C” students very busy every day. Since they into the class, they don't stop talking, send messages and also have a lot of function in school clubs.
When I was in high school I experienced a bad teacher in English, then that following year I had an excellent English teacher. The bad English teacher kept to the same old ways of teaching by requiring us to memorize boring vocabulary words, and work out of the Text book to learn grammar. We would walk in and she would tell the assignment and then we would barely hear her speak throughout the remainder of the classroom period. My classmates and I dreaded going to this class everyday and most of us had very poor grades resulting from
After 3 long periods, I made it out alive. Everyday, for the last couple of weeks, I’ve been reviewing notes I kept since the beginning of the year. I also retook and reviewed all of my tests and quizzes from each of the chapters that I kept since the beginning of the year in a binder. I followed the advice my physics teacher gave our whole class, “keep studying until you get the material down.” I did exactly what she said and restudied all of the chapters. When there was anything particularly hard, I asked my teacher and reviewed with her afterschool.
Easy Doesn’t Seem So Easy They said it was going to be easy, that I was going to enjoy Advance Placement Psychology. I guess it doesn’t always work like that for everyone. It was the last quarter of my junior year in high school, registration week. You could feel the stress linger upon every junior as they frantically searched for classes they would take their senior year. Each junior trying to make the perfect schedule for a perfect year, all deciding whether a cruise class or an advance placement was right for them.
You have a visual/graphic learning style. Recalling pictures, diagrams, or slideshows while taking a test means you visually learned the material. Learning by sight is probably one of the most common learning styles. Educators often use visual aids to teach, because students often understand the material better. Being able to see what has been being talked about in the class all week, makes learning easier for a visual learner.
In class we watched Schoolhouse Rock and I learned everything really quickly. We did lots of worksheets and discussed nouns and verbs. Every Friday we would have a quiz on what we learned throughout the week and at the end of the month we have a test. This wasn’t my favorite subject but it was ok. Nothing exciting ever happened.
I hated to do this so as I said before, this teaches that lesson of what’s right and wrong, therefor learning civility. As I got grew up I learned something every year. In first grade I learned that when older people help younger kids out for a whole school year you can really learn a lot. We had 8th grade buddies that were there every morning waiting for us in our classroom to talk to us before the school day started. Our teachers were very old and wise so they knew that this wouldn’t just be a learning experience for the 8th graders but also the 1st.

Furthermore, students should be getting on Khan Academy every day for thirty minutes to practice math skills and become familiar with the computerized math applications that will be on the upcoming standardized test. Rewards: Students that go on Khan Academy and practice on a daily basis will be rewarded. Last year students were treated to Peter Piper Pizza and a movie. Late Work: Late Math homework will not be accepted.
I wasn't going to let it ruin my week I didn't have the two classes that exact Monday I had them on Fridays basically I was in class the whole day. As Friday came I got ready and took extra time to make sure I was not late and to make sure I could choose a seat. I arrived to the campus I could not find my first class as I should have came prepared. I did a couple of circles until I figured out the number pattern. As I got to my class all the things I felt were gone away I was ready to tackle this class.
