Descriptive Essay: The football game I remember my first football game as if it was yesterday. I was overwhelmed with emotion and excitement. From the time I saw the stadium to the time I left I was in awe and amazed by the sights and sounds that make up a football game. Seeing the stadium, field, and players for the first time was unlike anything I had seen before. The excitement started as I arrived at the stadium. I had never seen such a large building before, it looked like a small city. Walking around and seeing all the fans was like being in a foreign country. People wearing team jerseys, painting their faces, and wearing other colorful costumes amazed me and scared me a little as well. The sun was bearing down on us, making it feel like a sauna with all the humidity, but all I could sense was the excitement in the air. I could hear the players on the field warming up, and the noise called to me, but it felt like I was trapped in a maze trying to get to the field. When I finally made it to my seat, I looked down at the field and was in awe. The grass was thick and fresh, looking like a carpet. Seeing the players on the field, statuesque as they were, was also amazing. I had only seen them on TV before, and now here they were playing in front of me. They seem to run faster, jump higher, and yell louder than on TV. Finally, I heard the whistle screaming, something I had only heard on TV before, signaling the game was about to begin. The players lined up, and kicked off beginning the epic gridiron battle. They moved extremely fast, sometimes seeming like a blur as they made their moves. I saw one player making his run, when I noticed a player on the opposing team running at him with the look of a charging bull. I held my breath as I knew a collision was coming.
