No one should take for granted their opportunities and no one should take those opportunities away from them. I once watched a documentary on Texans making a border patrol team on the border between Mexico and America and in this documentary they showed how these Texans do not want illegals in our country and I felt as if they were dishonoring everything America was meant to be; a free world where everyone has the rights we were first given, on their side. No one person should stop them from making their decisions or limiting them to where they can take their opportunities. Everyone has equal opportunity in
People are born naturally the way that god intended them to be, and every person is an equal, it does not matter whether you are light skinned or dark skinned. No one has as a say as to what they look like, regarding their race or colour. So how can anyone discriminate others because of that? Everyone has different strengths, and weaknesses. Being of a certain race is not a weakness, it is a blessing.
The Declaration of Independence has many ideals stated in it. The United States is a democratic republic and a model for many countries but the United States has not lived up to its ideals in the Declaration of Independence. In the Declaration of Independence it states that “all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness,” meaning that it doesn’t matter what your race is or what you look like, your rights can’t be taken away. “The rich and the poor are not so far removed from each other,” meaning that either if you are rich or poor, you aren’t going to be treated any different just because of how much money you have or don’t have. Walter Lee was so taken back by this that he was so happy Mama did what she did with the money because he believes that what he was going to use the money for would not of gotten him accepted within a white community. The saying “With great risk comes great reward” defines the Younger’s situation. Some people would not take that risk to see the reward, but Mama was willing to do that. In this case the reward is much greater than the risk that was taken. Yes they did risk what they had and encounter some terrible things, but for a black family to be accepted into a white community in this time period you could not ask for a better reward than
He did believe that the government should have the reins and be in control, but he always wanted the people of America with him every step of the way and to know what was going on. He never wanted them to not know what was going on and to never have to question what they were doing. In Document G, FDR says “The voice of great events is proclaiming to us. Reform if you would preserve.” Like stated earlier with Hoover, Conservatives are highly against change in government and want little to none to happen. Honestly though, sometimes it is the only way that you can improve.

Olivia Brice English 101 Ms. Hesse Racism Today People believe that racism is defined as the belief that there are characteristically and biologically different traits in the ‘human racial groups’ that justify discrimination. In Appiah’s essay he expresses how race is not a biologically different thing, but is instead a social concept or idea. Racism is what people call this social idea about race, and how it makes people differ from one another. At one point in history racism was very distinct and easy to spot, but by looking at an article from recent years we can see that racism still exists but is hidden and overlooked and that people are not considered to be racist, although they are. So what does it mean to be racist today?

Actually there are two sides in this issue, one of them is the ideals and the literal concepts that they have wished to keep and the other one is the lived fact that exists on the reality. On one hand, the American dream ideals of freedom are: people are equal; all humans have the same rights and no superiority at all. These are the theories that have been figured out to establish a society based on justice and fairness. Being free according to the American Dream is to illuminate any constrains or restrictions. On the political side, everyone is free to reject, to revolute and simply to say no.
Free market economy is also characterized by free trade without any tariffs or subsidies imposed by the government. The most fundamental concept of a free economic system is personal freedom. A free economic system assumes that people will benefit from the actions they feel most compelled to take. Working from this central idea, a free economic system allows people to form cooperative relationships that benefit both sides so people are not forced to do anything they do not wish to do. A free market also ensures that people can run their business in whatever way they see fit, without being disadvantaged by outside forces.
