Greeting: Good morning/afternoon Ms. Lai and classmates, today’s topic is related to: whether exams should or should not be banned. Define topic: The word ‘abolished’ in this statement represents that the students don’t receive any exams ‘for the whole year’. Our house definitely objects to this statement, there is a problem created when exams are abolished: The exam presents the student’s performance by the marking of the teachers. Teachers may find it hard to recognize the student’s progress from the student’s performance if exams are not present. Teacher themselves may also not be able to improve. Time limits is an important element present in exams. It acts as a role in restraining the student to complete various tasks. When the student continues to do various exams, he would be able increase his efficiency in accomplishing other tasks in his future: working in office buildings. Imagine when people are working in an office in the future, they need to work within a deadline to hand in their report, and the force which pushes them to accomplish is the efficiency which they have gained from various exams. Concluding Statement: Through the examinations, people will gradually develop efficiency in managing tasks in their future life within various time limits.
